One of the most amazing experiences I have ever witnessed. I was terrified to explore the F roads on my own but having the option to sneak a peak at the highlands with a trusted guide and see so much beauty was priceless!

Embark on a journey to one of Iceland’s most captivating destinations Landmannalaugar, famous for its breathtaking landscapes such as vibrant colored rhyolite mountains, bubbling hot springs, lava fields and epic hikes. The lava fields and the rhyolite mountains are the result of thousands of years of volcanic activity. Laugahraun lava field was formed in a volcanic eruption in 1477 consisting of vast erratic black obsidian, famed in the TV series Game of Thrones as “Dragon Glass”. Rhyolite is a type of volcanic rock that is made of quartz and silica and with minerals such as iron and sulphur adding extra color to the mountains, like Brennisteinsalda. We will stay over 3 hours in Landmannalaugur and we offer approx. 2 hour guided hike up to Brennisteinsalda, but you are welcome to explore the area on your own within the given time frame. You can take on different trail or just relax and stay longer in the natural hot pool – just don’t forget to bring your swim suit and a towel!
We can also pick up in Selfoss on the South Coast We have 30 minute window. Pick-up starts at 8am, but you might have to wait for up to 30 minutes for the bus to arrive.

Lorenzo was an amazing tour guide. This was a great way to see so many beautiful places in a day. I’d book through them before ever trying the road myself. Saw one guy that flooded his rental…
Expectations were met! The guide Thomas was very personable and explained a lot. There was enough time for a short hike without the whole group. We saw a great deal. A successful day!
This was so much fun and so beautiful. Even the ride to the hike had my jaw dropped. The initial trail (orange) is pretty easy. I chose to do most of the blue/green section rather than the thermal pool, and that has breif semi-challenging bits. The other stops were just as lovely though less immersive. We had perfect weather and Tomas was a great guide.
A truly beautiful landscape that you have to see! Leave the car, it's not worth it and only causes trouble, get yourself a great guide here.
We had a great day and our guide Michal was excellent. Kept us informed about the areas that we visited. Highly recommend. Thank you Michal!!!
Great experience overall! Beautiful views, amazing hiking through the mountain and relaxing hot springs at the end. We couldn't ask for a better guide/driver: Tomas, our guide was knowledgeable and proffesional. We would recommend this experience 100%!
Amazing visit to unique landscape and scenery away from more crowded places. Thomas our driver/guide was a great driver in the rough road and appreciated his commentary along the way as well as unexpected view points. Only feedback would be to have earplugs. The heavy tires when on paved roads can be loud and less comfortable. It is a long day, but completely worth it and the tour was handled smoothly.
Had a great experience, our guide Thomas was very friendly, knowledgeable about the area, took us to see amazing sights. Overall would recommend this company, liked that it was a small group.
Great tour. Very knowledgeable and pleasant
Thank you for your kind review! We’re delighted to hear you had a great tour and enjoyed the knowledge and pleasant company of your guide. We really appreciate you joining us and taking the time to share your experience!
