Description
I would love to be your Tahoe local friend and lead you on a 2 mile hike to a beautiful overlook of Emerald Bay and the ENTIRE Lake Tahoe basin. Need more reassurance? Check out the 200+ reviews of me on Airbnb experiences! In my 25 years of living here, I have explored many of the trails and much of shoreline around Tahoe and this vantage point is one of my favorites. Also available for the sunrise, sunset, and/or moonrise! Great for groups and team building. Intermediate-level hike available too. I am happy to try and accommodate mobility challenged/differently abled folks on the hike. The experience begins with a paved walk on a campground road. Then the trail turns to dirt with a slight incline for about ¼ mile until we get to the lookout point. If you are visiting Tahoe during the winter time, the hike will most likely be covered in snow. Snow boots or hiking boots will be needed. I can bring a sled to help tow the kiddos. The hike may be weather dependent due to heavy snowfall.

The hike was a wonderful experience ☀️ our guide was Jen and she was polite, punctual, accommodating and a great communicator. She has knowledge of the hiking area, takes photos, and provides a light snack with a great homemade lemonade. Highly recommend it!

Jen was the perfect guide! Great knowledge of the area, allowed for quiet moments, and brought a snack picnic.
Jen was a most informative, hospitable, and personable guide along the trails at Emerald Bay State Park😊 The aerial views of the lake, bay, and surrounding woods from the trails were absolutely stunning! I appreciate her enthusiasm and knowledge as a guide and photographer, not to mention the delightful picnic of snacks including nuts, freeze dried strawberries, and hot chocolate. Thank you again, for the lovely experience and recommendations for future hiking venues in Lake Tahoe🥰
Jen was a great hiking tour guide. She knew lots of great spots to show us around Emerald Bay and Lake Tahoe with the best photo opportunities. She took tons of photos and sent them to us before we even got back to our hotel.
Excellent hike Jen was great and very informative
Jen was an incredible host! Very knowledgeable of the area and takes great care in noticing different skill levels of her guests. The snack and wonderful hot chocolate were an added surprise. She took many photos of us and was very quick in getting them delivered. We will see her again when we return in the winter!
