Located in the center of Yoho National Park, Emerald Lake's vivid emerald color is derived from tiny glacial debris particles called rock flour. This lake is unique because of its gorgeous green water. It is impossible to describe the verdant surroundings and snow-capped Rockies as a backdrop. In winter, the lake was largely frozen in ice, and the landscape was blanketed in untouched snow.

If I had one day in Banff, this is the tour I would have picked. You get to do it all a little bit and get to see some amazing views of nature. Our tour guide was very respectful and helpful all along and I loved hearing some interesting facts through the day.

Great day at Lake Louise and Moraine Lake with Rockies Journey and Ken Ken

Could not have been happier with Rockies Journey. We had a different tour operator cancel on us the day before and quickly booked with Rockies Journey and they were beyond accomodating meeting our needs (big thanks to Cailyn). Ken Ken was our guide and he was outstanding - friendly, fun and informative. Would use Rockies and Ken Ken again in a heartbeat.

Great tour to see some of the stand out places around Banff

We had a great time on this tour! Jesse was a fun, cheery, and informative guide and Dash was a great driver. We only had two days in Banff and wanted to see as much of it as possible so this tour was perfect! It was a long day, but it really didn’t feel like too much. We went with 3 children, 15,13 & 9 and they enjoyed it as well. We enjoyed the restaurant that Jesse recommended for lunch and at every stop he went above and beyond to help us get the best spots to view from. All in all highly recommendable.

Great Experience!

My wife and I really enjoyed our experience and the tour of the four lakes. Our guide/driver Kenneth was very personable and friendly. He provided lots of information about the area, shared insights on less crowded viewing areas and often took pictures for us. Save the parking hassles, it’s worth it to use a bus tour such as this one. Highly recommended!

Fantastic tour!

My husband and I really enjoyed our tour with Rockies Journey. It was our first time in Alberta, so we chose the 4 Lakes Tour to make the most of our time here, and it was definitely the right decision. Everything was very well organized, and our guide, Jesse, was fantastic. He shared lots of interesting information about each stop and was also kind enough to help us take photos. Jesse is a five-star guide, and we would definitely recommend this tour!
