Lagos Walking Tour: Explore Top Sights & Hidden Gems

We had a lovely morning exploring Lagos. Ruth was really knowledgeable, showing us great points of interest and also giving us tips. Very relaxed and went at our pace. Would highly recommend. Thank you !

We enjoyed the walking tour. It was a great way to see many highlights of Lagos. We went on the tour the first day & I would definitely recommend it

We were at the meeting point (called the moving bridge at marina) at least 10 mminutes before the hour. At 15 minutes past the hour, we walked to the other side of the bridge, thinking we were perhaps on the wrong side. I contacted the original manager who had confirmed the tour. We walked back to the other side of the bridge and at about 25/28 minutes past the hour I got some pictures from the assigned tour guide of the original side of the bridge, claiming he had been there the whole time. That is impossible. The manager (I believe located in Germany) wrote that the guide was "trying to find us, but we were again exactly at the spot he had sent a picture of. He wrote "Sorry???" which seemed like a rude thing to say, given that we had been wasting our time waiting. I want my refund for the tour ASAP. We paid with Mastercard plus Viator credits. This is the 2nd time I have been disappointed with Viator guides (the first time I did not complain as at least the incompetent guide showed up and was lovely and gave us his -uneducated- time!) I demand my money back for this waste of 2 clients' time!

We waited 40 minutes with another customer but the guide did not arrive. We received no message, explanation or apology. We could not get through to the guide even though we had been communicating with him earlier. We are going to receive a full refund but we would have preferred to have the tour!

If you do one thing in Lagos, make it this walking tour and ask for Tiago. I’d arranged a private tour after the group didn’t have enough bookings, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my trip. Tiago was born and raised here, and that makes ALL the difference. He didn’t just walk me through the history - he shared the little stories of growing up inside these walls, how life in Lagos has changed, what it’s really like to live here. You can’t get that from a guidebook. We wandered the Old Town, walked the ancient walls, and made our way down to the beach. He knew every corner. He also suggested places to eat and drink that tourists simply don’t find on their own — the kind of spots locals actually go to. And if that wasn’t enough, he stopped to take photos for me along the way — including some yoga poses on the cliffs! 🙏 I would do this tour again in a heartbeat. Tiago is the real deal — knowledgeable, warm, funny, and genuinely proud of his hometown. It felt less like a tour and more like exploring with a friend who happens to know everything. Ask for Tiago. You won’t regret it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tiago was an excellent guide. Having grown up in Lagos, he was able to inject into the tour his personal experiences and insights. The tour was extensive and covered historical as well as geographical sights. Tiago also recommended a number of things for us to see and do during our visit to Lagos.

It was an incredible tour! The tour guide was very passionate about the history and sights of the city, and the weather was amazing, perfect for a walk. This was a veery good start to my Portugal trip!
