It is a special experience to make your own ring. The explanation was interesting and the staff was very friendly and gave us plenty of time. They managed to give us the feeling that we are experienced craftsmen ;) It was also really relaxing to concentrate on crafting the ring. You should do this at least once in your life! We also really liked the results and felt proud of our rings :)
We booked a ring-making experience with this vendor while in Kyoto during our trip to Japan. The meeting spot they provided didn’t correspond to any actual location — we arrived and had no idea where we were supposed to go. We waited nearly 20 minutes, and no one showed up. We tried texting the number they’d given us multiple times and got no response at all — nothing before, during, or after. We ended up losing time we’d set aside for this and had to move on with our day. This felt like a complete rip-off — we paid for an experience that simply didn’t exist when we showed up. Save yourself the frustration and book with someone else
