Wow, we really learned a lot about Khmer cooking, and shopping from Chef Lom Ang. She is a lovely person and an excellent teacher. Having lived in Cambodia for a couple of months, we wanted to improve our understanding of the local ingredients and recipes. She told us how to pick the ingredients and guided us through the traditional market to buy what we needed for the cooking. Her kitchen space for students is well set up and she has helpers handy to advise as you cook your own Khmer food. Chef demonstrates, then you repeat dish by dish. You get to eat what you cook. We especially appreciated her guideance and answers to our questions about how to shop in the market and repeat the success at home.
lovely afternoon at the local markets and cooking class, with Lom Ang, she was amazing and we had a wonderful time, would recommend to anyone!!
It was a very enjoyable experience from start to finish. We began by shopping for fresh vegetables and meat at the local market, which was a great way to experience everyday Cambodian life, before returning to the restaurant to cook. The chef explained everything step by step, and because it was a very small group with plenty of helpful assistants, we received lots of personal attention. The ingredients were incredibly fresh and the food was absolutely delicious. The highlight for me was learning how to make authentic Khmer curry paste, which I now know can be used as a base for so many different dishes. I would strongly recommend this half-day cooking class. The set-up was very professional, the kitchen was lovely, and the chef was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. A wonderful experience—thank you!
I had a very nice afternoon with Long Am! She is a great chef and was very patient and kind. I liked that we went to the local BKK market first to see the way the locals live and buy food and to also see where the ingredients are from. Long Am showed me every step and also helped me after when needed. I was there alone but I have never felt awkward. I had a lot of fun and every single dish was delicious!
This was an absolutely fantastic experience. Chef Lom Ang is very knowledgeable and friendly. The location is easy to find and the staff were all very kind. The trip to the market and the cooking lesson were brilliant. The food was so delicious. I highly recommend doing this and learning from Chef Lom Ang!

The cooking class was great. Chef Lom Ang took us to the market first and explained a lot about the local ingredients. She was very knowledgeble and speaks good English. We made at 3 course dinner that we can reproduce at home. Good fun, we highly recommend.
