Although this trip is conducted in Deception Pass State Park we avoid the turbulent water near the bridge which is more suitable for expert kayakers. Deception Pass State Park is Washington's most popular state park. Over one million visitors and residents visit Deception Pass to explore its beautiful trails and scenic beaches, and to walk across the historic Deception Pass Bridge.
Bowman Bay is located on Fidalgo Island and offers a peaceful place for kayakers of all ages and abilities. Just outside the bay participants are treated to expansive views of Fidalgo Island and the rest of the San Juan islands.

Due to the nature of booking on a third-party site, and our small group size, we highly recommend giving us a quick call after you book to make sure that your preferred departure time works for you. During the busiest days we often run full. In the unlikely event that your preferred trip is already full then we will definitely get you out on a trip leaving at a similar time. We enjoyed this kayak tour. I would say it was a fairly easy paddle with beautiful views. We saw harbor seals and their babies. I would definately recommend this kayak tour.
Great experience. Antonio was great. Patient and helpful. We were new to kayaking and he made it very easy.

We had a fabulous day with our guide Ryan showing us newbies how to kayak. He was very thorough explaining what we would be doing and helped us overcome our fear of flipping and rather we enjoyed the beautiful scenery. We definitely will go again!!!!

This is a great experience for first time kayaking folks. Our guide Ryan was great and made the experience perfect. He made it simple to understand the basics and gave us a good history lesson along with facts along the way. We lost his google review card, but we hope this gets to him and helps him win the review tournament. Overall, great experience for me and my girlfriend. By the way, we saw harbor seals, jellyfish, sea stars, a bald eagle and tasted seaweed on our kayak trip.
Did the 1 1/2 hour kayaking trip with family of 11, great trip, fun time was had by all. Jason our guide was great, good instructions, helpful and information about the area and creatures. Good directions on getting to pickup location, parking and communication before the trip. Always looking for whales, which we didn't see, will have to return and of course would book another trip with AKT.
Best part of the day. Addy our tour guide was a wealth of knowledge. I loved the adventure and memories.

Addy is an amazing kayak guide! She mixed local history with a fantastic tour of Bowman Bay, helped us spot a sea lion, and even introduced us to delicious bull kelp. Who knew sea snacks were on the itinerary? This was an amazing adventure from start to finish. Highly recommend!

We are a family with 7 adults. We did the 1.5 hour kayak trip leaving from Bowman Bay. Ryan was an awesome guide, and we were pleasantly surprised that we were the only ones on his trip. He gave detailed commentary about the area, and pointed out jelly fish and a sea lion peeking at us. No eagles that day, but he tried to find them. It was long enough to enjoy the beautiful views, but not too long! Highly recommend.
