Kauai Chocolate Farm Tasting Tour

Sunscreen needed. Guide Jess was very knowledgeable & made things super interesting. Samples were ample. Those with mobility problems were supported by staff. Outstanding!!!

A must have experience if you are visiting Kauai. Sheri was an amazing tour guide that taught us a lot about chocolate and Hawaiian plants present on the farm. I would recommend wearing shoes that can get wet and/or muddy.

Despite the heavy rain, we had a wonderful time on the Kauai Chocolate Farm Tasting Tour. Plus, we were so happy to support them after Hurricane Nolo! You felt the ohana spirit as soon as you arrived and while driving to the Farm. Our guide, Jess, was wonderful, informative, and so accommodating. You get to learn a lot about chocolate and the regenerative, sustainable practices at Lydgate Farm. But, most importantly, you got to eat plenty of chocolate. You also got to try lots of local fruit and learn about many indigenous plants. If you're on Kauai, this is a must-do, and you should bring the entire family. With the deluxe tour, you'll get a large bag of chocolate items you can mix and match as you please. All the workers at Lydgate are committed to growing and producing some of the most delicious craft chocolate, and you can taste the difference. If you are a chocolate aficionado, don't miss this tour!

We were so impressed with our tour guide, Jess, who was incredibly knowledgeable and lots of fun to spend the afternoon with! The tour was amazing and all the tastings were incredible. Couldn’t believe how many wonderful things we got to try, from fruit grown on the farm to a large variety of chocolate and macadamia nut treats. Highly recommend!

I joined a group of local friends for complimentary tour for Kamaaina. It was on my bucket list for a while. It was the most enjoyable day. The three hours flew by. The farm was beautiful despite some hurricane damage. The chocolate tasting was amazing. I will only eat Lydgate Chocolate from now on. They spoiled me. Jasmine was a fantastic guide. She was fun and knowledgeable. I highly reccomend this tour to everyone.

Very brilliant tour through the Lydgate Farm. Exciting, informative, delicious, and fun from the start to the end of the tour! I wasn't a fan of dark chocolate before - now I love it. And I am very grateful to have been able to taste a real Sugarloaf Pineapple once in my life.

It’s so much more than a chocolate tour! We had tropical fruit tastings, learned about the ecosystem and different varietals of cacao, and grew a larger appreciation for chocolate and how small batch chocolate differs from mass production. Basically, what REAL chocolate is supposed to taste like. From the moment our tour started, it was evident that our guide Henry was not only extremely knowledgeable about the farm and the chocolate but his enthusiasm and passion poured out during the entire three hour tour. Henry absolutely loves his job and it shows. It makes such a big difference when someone like Henry is running the show. Lydgate is lucky to have him :)

The gardens, farm, is obviously loved & well cared for by the crew that work there …. this is just two weeks after Hurricane Lowell. The organization and preparations for each and every presentation were flawless. It is immediately obvious that all the people who work there know how to pay attention to every detail (& any possible need a guest may have). They all had sincere super smiles to share. They were all caring and engaging… truly exuding”Island Style” hospitality . Our guide, Sheri, is the epitome of a truly amazing Teacher. Absolutely Excellent delivery , her voice, her smile, her enthusiasm, exacting details, incredible knowledge of History, Botanicals, of deliberate exact tasting. She engaged and entertained and taught. I think other business’s would like to clone her. It was all driven by her lovely “joie de vive”. Then there is the Chocolate….. like no other… Fact: it is award winning!! This adventure will treat your taste buds like never before and teach you more than you expect. Need to get your spirits lifted? Chocolate can do that! Excellent , Award Winning Chocolate does it better. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. Even though they had just come through the hurricane, they revised the tour and took us through. We were grateful! I won't think of chocolate the same I did. The fresh fruit tasting was scrumptious!
