A guided tour through an amazing garden, led by a very knowledgeable guide, with a fun break in the middle to taste and compare chocolates.
It is a beutiful garden and Troy, our guide had interesting info to tell us. However, I felt too much time was spent on talking about how one makes chocolate. Maybe that was because I had a chocolate tour last year on Kauai, but to me they could have sped up the chocolate hour. It could have been 30 min insted of 60. It is the middle hour of the 3 hour event.
The tour was excellent. The Garden is majestic. Rob was an outstanding tour guide, we were so happy that we were placed in his group. The group size and the length of the tour were perfect. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with us.
Excellent tour and experience well paced to enjoy for all
It is well paced with a wonderful chocolate tasting in the middle. And also snacks were provided along the way. Troy was a knowledgeable guide.
We booked the tour, and then received the waiver that is required. After reading the waiver, I was concerned that I might have difficulty completing the tour, which is three hours long and traverses through natural settings instead of on concrete or other types constructed trails. I decided to go to the tour and shared my concerns with the person who checked us in. I needed not worry. In the event someone needs asssistance, a golf cart stands ready and waiting to assist as necessary. I loved the tour and am thrilled that we completed it. My initial concern was with my endurance, but we experienced rest stops and the chocolate tasting, which gave us breaks. I am from the Ozarks, where flora is beautiful, but the area we covered truly took my breath. We walked at a leisurely pace, having time to ask questions, and giving those who were a little slower time to catch up. Well worth the money and time. Ann was an enthusiastic tour guide, and she told us many Hawaiian folklore stories involving the plants. Last note: Two people did ask for the cart on the last hill, and it was johnny-on-the-spot to come get them. Do this tour.
Amazing experience all around. Tour guides were great! Chocolate part was cool
Beautiful garden with very knowledgeable tour guides. Worth every penny Strikingly beautiful flora. I now see how these plants grow in nature. I'll quit trying to grow them in my S California home unless i can provide them with mist at least daily. A great learning experience about tropical plants ...and CHOCOLATE☺️
Our family enjoyed this majestic tour through the botanical gardens and was fascinated by our amazing tour guide's (ZOE) knowledge. It was a feast for the eyes, and we learned so much about Hawaii's ecosystem and cacao. BEAUTIFUL TOUR!!
This botanical garden had so many species to enjoy; every blossom and palm leaf was captivating. The guides were incredibly knowledgeable about the plant life, including the origins on some as well as identifying the true native species. Our tour included a fruit (from the garden) and chocolate (cacao beans from their garden) tasting. The best experience for plant (& chocolate) lovers!
