Great experience! Our pilot, Walt, was informative, friendly, and most importantly a great pilot! We especially liked that it was a private tour - only the 2 of us. It was the first time I did an open door helicopter tour and I was thrilled with the experience. Totally unobstructed views of the island for both of us. No middle passengers! Equipment was outstanding for ear protection and talking to our guide. A must do experience with Mauna Lao!

OMGOSH!! Everything about this experience was a 10!! We loved every minute! Victor our pilot was experienced, friendly, engaging and put our minds at ease right away. Can not recommend seeing the beautiful island of Kauai from a helicopter!! You truly can not imagine the incredible beauty til you see it from the skies. Thank you for a fantastic fun experience!
Our trip was canceled at the last minute due to weather. We were scheduled to leave end of the next day and they couldn’t fit us in and simply said sorry good luck. Seemed a bit inconsiderate because we were unable to get another doors off helicopter tour. Feels like they should have been able to move flights around to make it work somehow.
Very knowledgeable and cautious pilot who showed us the most he could given the weather forecast. We saw all 3 active volcanoes and their lava flows, as well as the beautiful beaches and other points of interest along the Kohala coast.
Everything top-notch. From the flight itself, the weather, and the great pilot. Incredibly cool flight, almost surreal 😀
My wife and I had a blast! Private chopper flight in Kauai is the way to go. Our pilot, Matt, was a good young man, took us to sights we would not have been able to see on our own, and gave us good info as he circled/hovered around the interesting points. They also provided a phone holder for your phone during flight. We took some memorable photos and videos. It wasn’t cheap but soooo worth it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
