Bodbe Monastery is one of Georgia’s most important religious sites, located near the town of Sighnaghi. It is the burial place of Saint Nino, the 4th-century woman who brought Christianity to Georgia. The monastery complex, surrounded by cypress trees and flower gardens, offers a peaceful spiritual atmosphere and spectacular views over the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains. Today, it is both an active convent and a popular pilgrimage and tourist destination.
Sighnaghi, often called the “City of Love,” is a charming hilltop town in Kakheti. Surrounded by defensive walls with watchtowers, it offers cobblestone streets, colorful 19th-century balconies, and stunning views of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains.
The Sighnaghi city walls, built in the 18th century by King Erekle II, stretch for about 4 km with over 20 watchtowers. They are among the longest fortification walls in Georgia and offer panoramic views of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus Mountains.
Telavi, the capital of Kakheti, is a historic town known for its blend of culture, markets, and royal heritage. One of its landmarks is the giant plane tree, over 900 years old, standing proudly in the town center and considered one of the oldest trees in Georgia.

Best experience. Henrietta was our guide and she is amazing
Thank you very much, Henrietta, for the excellent tour; she told us about the history of Tbilisi and Telavi. We were interested in trying wine from a home winery and comparing it with a factory winery; this is exactly what we needed to compare and understand what real Georgian wine with Georgian hospitality is like! Thank you very much, your Maryana and Vitaliy!
Henrietta is very knowledgeable with wine, generous with sharing with us her knowledge, generous with the variety of wine for tasting. The food here is great too! Thank you from the bottom of our heart! Cheers!
Thank you for the wonderful trip! Henrietta is a brilliant guide and organizer. Everything was done at the highest level. We visited Kazbegi and Kakheti together and we will never forget this trip! Picturesque views, new historical and cultural knowledge and discoveries, exquisite Georgian wines and honey, brilliant cuisine, amenities on the road - everything was provided to us in abundance. Thank you to everyone who participated in giving us this unforgettable experience, we will definitely return to Georgia!❤️
Simply WONDERFUL! The tour guide was incredibly nice and personable. Your knowledge of the respective locations was very detailed. To enter the churches as a woman, a head covering is necessary, so please bring something along to remain respectful. Laris in Bar (25-45 per person) is also recommended to participate in the fullest experience. But all in all, a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend to everyone coming to Georgia! Many, many thanks for the great day<3.
Hello everyone. I hope our experiences can help you. I traveled with my family in August 2026. Where do we start? The food and the wines?! Simply indescribable! We were at a small family winery that is now in its 4th generation. All the wines we tasted were homemade. The people there were able to answer all our questions, and nice conversations were held. The people in Geroriegen in general?! Nice and helpful. I would especially like to highlight the people who made this day possible for us. Our tour guide Henriette and the driver Deme. To sum it up briefly. We had a great time and will take advantage of this tour again.
We had an amazing experience on the Kakheti Wine Tour and Discover Monasteries, Vineyards & Telavi tour. My wife and I joined this tour from Tbilisi, and it was one of the highlights of our Georgia trip. The tour was very well organized, starting from Europe Square and covering some of the most beautiful and culturally important places in the Kakheti region. The itinerary had a perfect combination of wine, history, nature, and local traditions. Our first stop at Manavi was a great introduction to Georgian wine culture. The winery visit and degustation were enjoyable, and it was interesting to learn about Georgia’s ancient winemaking traditions. The local flavors and hospitality made the experience special. The stop at Badiauri was another memorable moment, especially experiencing traditional Georgian bread-making and local products. It gave us a nice taste of authentic Georgian culture. Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The surroundings, views, and history of the monastery made it one of our favorite stops. Sighnaghi was also stunning — the charming streets, beautiful architecture, and incredible views of the Alazani Valley made it feel like a fairytale town. Walking along the Signagi City Walls was a unique experience with amazing photo opportunities. The visit to Telavi gave us another perspective of Kakheti, with its historic atmosphere and connection to Georgian culture and winemaking. Our guide was friendly, helpful, and made the whole journey enjoyable. The timing at each location was well planned, allowing us to explore without feeling rushed. Overall, this was a fantastic day trip that showed us the beauty, history, and hospitality of Georgia. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tbilisi who wants to discover Georgian wine, monasteries, vineyards, and traditional villages.
Henrietta is very good! Good wine tasting and place is fantastic!
Our leader Gari was a nice man, and he explained story behind everything to us. It was an enjoying visit around Kakheti which we enjoyed tasting different types of wine.
