Take a short stop at this historical chapel. The little pink chapel in the middle of the woods, 460 meters above sea level, resembles a house of children's history. It was erected in 1860 by the Portuguese banker Viscount de Souto inside his farm, in Tijuca Forest. The Chapel is one of the attractions of Tijuca National Park. Adorn the altar reproductions of panels with holy images of Cândido Portinari. The gardens, as well as the Carrara marble and tiled patio tub with frowning spout, were designed by landscape designer Roberto Burle Marx.
Get a nice perspective from the Tijuca Rainforest. At Vista Chinesa (Chinese View), capture sweeping views of Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, Guanabara Bay and even as far as Niteroi. The lookout was built between 1902 and 1906. The oriental-style pagoda is a reference in honor of the Chinese who brought tea cultivation to Brazil in the early 19th century. Made of bamboo and cement, and situated 380 meters above sea level, it is an important tourist spot in the city.

We finally made it to this trip due to weather. Our trip ended up on the thursday. Everton, our guide, was great! He was very attentive, psssionate about the Tijuca rainforest, very knowledgeable at what he does. He was exceptional & the driver was very careful on our journey aswell. The Tijuca rainforest was amazing, natural & worth it to visit! With Everton you get to know other things on the trip aswell. We loved it & thank you to our guide & driver!
Spent very little time in park . The walk through the rain forest was a very short. Saw one monkey and nothing else . The waterfall was very under whelming . Trip very expensive for what you actually got . Didn’t think it was value for money Spent more time travelling to area . If you do Christ Redeemer you go to same park. Only good thing was guide George he was very entertaining .

Our tour guide George was hilarious, and made sure we were all comfortable. It was a small group so that was good as well. George was very knowledgeable about the facts of the tour. The views were amazing.
Raphael was very informative and entertaining. We appreciated all of the pictures he took of our group along the way. Our driver, Miguel, was also very informative and giving Raphael information to give to us.
We had a wonderful trip! The driver and our guide Andre were fantastic, very knowledgeable and friendly and you can tell he enjoys meeting people and teaching about the history of the forest and about the different species of trees and animals. We got to see a couple of monkeys and toucans! The waterfall was beautiful, there were surprisingly not a lot of mosquitos. And it was a good way to explore the rainforest if you don't want to walk as much. I would recommend this trip and anything with GrayLine :)
Eddie was a wonderful tour guide I would recommend him to anyone who travels to Brazil. He knows the history and give very detailed information! Book with Eddie you will be happy!
We were the only ones on the tour & they were 1/2 late starting (even though the Jeep was outside our hotel). Guide advised they never see sloths - main reason for booking tour was to see wildlife- very minimal. Guide was difficult to understand & tour went for just over 3 hours - including a coffee break. We would sooner have spent the time walking in the jungle. Unfortunately, would not recommend this tour.
It was a wonderful experience. The guide was excellent. He explained the background and the local history very well. He was helpful, courteous and pleasant. The trip itself is nice. It gives us a chance to get away from the city and immerse ourselves in the charms and beauty of Nature. Many sights, like the falls, lakes, and the tree canopy were interesting. Highly recommended.
The actual tour was great. The guide was knowledgeable. But beware of the pickup times: The listed times are for a very specific place. If your hotel is far from that, then your actual pickup time could be much, much earlier.
