lovely morning, went so fast. meet famous youtube cat kami. we made an amazing notebook with washi paper . felt very welcomed. we now have a great memory of Japan to take home.
This was a lot of fun and our host was so knowledgeable and such a great teacher. Also, Kami was there to observe we did everything properly.
Thank you very much for your wonderful review. (And I’m sorry for my late reply...) Have you had a chance to fill your notebook with lots of memories from Japan? I also hope you will continue practicing mizuhiki knotting and make gifts for your family and friends. My mascot cat and I are looking forward to seeing you again someday! 🐾😊✨
Really enjoyed the workshop where you get hands on creation of a small notebook and different items using the mizuhiki cords. You get to make your own multiple choices of paper and colors of cords, giving you plenty of opportunity to tap into your creativity. Unfortunately my hands fumbled around with the mizuhiki cords but Kaho-san was so kind and patient. Highly recommend this workshop if you want to combine your interest in Japanese crafts along with a hands on experience.
Thank you for your review that makes me happy. It makes me confident. The mizuhiki knotting may have been a little difficult, but I’m very happy and relieved that you were able to complete such a beautiful notebook. Please write down your memories of Tokyo and Japan in your notebook and proudly share it with your friends and family. When you come to Tokyo again, my mascot cat and I will be looking forward to seeing you!
I had a wonderful time learning to tie multiple mizuhiki knots and making a notebook from scratch. It was fun to choose all of the materials and I especially appreciated the small class size -- and, notably, it was possible to book this class as an individual participant without having to pay for a "two participant minimum," which I noticed was common for other similar classes. This was a charming class, and I purchased additional materials when I left so that I can make more knots and show friends back home.
Thank you so much for sending your review. I was very happy that you took an interest in mizuhiki knot tying. This workshop is designed for a small group so that everyone can work carefully and at a relaxed pace until completion. I would be delighted if you could draw or write your memories from Japan in the notebook you made and proudly share it with the people around you. If you have any questions about mizuhiki, please feel free to contact me anytime. I look forward to seeing you again together with our mascot cat. 🐾
We learned how to make a beautiful notebook and traditional decorative Japanese knots to make a bookmark. The workshop was well organized and easy to follow. We also learned about washi , Japanese paper making, and other paper craft shops in the area. Tea and special cookies were served at the end. Kami, the owner’s cat, was friendly and entertained us as we worked.
Thank you for your review that makes me happy. It makes me confident. How did you like the notebook you made yourself? I’d be so happy if you were able to create many wonderful memories. We look forward to welcoming you again—please come visit our mascot cat too!
