Take the Aerial Tran!

Better than expected. Large tram and good views. Shopping , bars and restaurants at the base before going up. Be sure to save room for waffles at the top.

Great scenery and view...

Great scenery and view from the top of the mountain. The on line reservation site worked well. The waffles were awesome. B

Operator response

Thank you for spending part of your day with us! We’re delighted that everything came together smoothly, from planning your visit online to taking in the Tetons from the summit. And of course, a waffle at Corbet’s Cabin is a pretty special way to cap off the journey up Rendezvous Mountain.

It was a cloudy day so...

It was a cloudy day so visibility was low but still beautiful. Waffles at top were yummy. Cold wind. Dress warm (August 14) We rode 2 of 3 trams and walked down from Sweetwater. Lots of fun stuff for kids to do at Teton Village. Nothing opens until 9:00 AM

Operator response

Thank you for spending the day exploring Teton Village and the mountain with us! Even with the clouds and brisk summit weather, we’re glad you found plenty to enjoy, from a warm waffle up high to exploring the lifts and making your way down from Sweetwater. We appreciate you sharing these helpful notes for other visitors and are happy your family found so many ways to enjoy the day!

The views at the top are astounding! So beautiful and the waffles are great too. It is windy at the top so hold on to your hat!

Operator response

Thank you for sharing such a fun review! There’s nothing quite like reaching the summit of Rendezvous Mountain and taking in the Tetons, especially with a waffle from Corbet’s Cabin to complete the experience. We’re delighted your time at the top was so memorable—and the mountain breeze certainly knows how to make its presence known!

60th wedding anniversary

John Putrino, our tour guide, was outstanding. Not many people get to see a mother grizzly with two cubs, hundreds of bison and other interesting animals and sights.

Operator response

Thank you for sharing such a memorable experience! Seeing a grizzly with her cubs and so much wildlife in one outing is truly remarkable, and we’re delighted John helped make the day even more special with his guidance. We appreciate you choosing to explore this incredible corner of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem with us!

Buy at the park. Wait and see if the weather is good.

This was a fun event to do. Unfortunately with the fires we couldn’t see much of the view of Jackson Hole 😩 So that was definitely disappointing. For the price and for unforeseen events like the wild fires I wouldn’t buy your ticket till the day you go so you don’t spend the money for the tram only. Which brings me to the tram. It gets crowded having 100 people in there. People get aggressive and want a specific spot especially on way down. I saw crazy attitude from people/families. Just go with an open heart and let it be what it will be. It’s pretty much standing room only. Maybe 8 seats total. At the top is a cabin that makes waffles. I think for the price of the tram you should get a ticket for a free waffle. I didn’t buy a waffle just because I don’t need all the carbs and sugar. But it looked like everyone else was really enjoying them plus maybe a mimosa or other sort of cocktail. The skywalk is very cool but windy. Enjoy this adventure. I do want to do it again with better hopes of less smoke!

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback about your visit. We’re glad there were highlights to enjoy at the summit, though we understand how disappointing the wildfire smoke must have been when the mountain scenery is such an important part of the experience. We also appreciate your perspective on the Tram ride and overall value, and we’re sorry the crowded conditions and behavior of other guests detracted from your day. It means a lot that you’d still consider returning, and we hope a future trip brings clear skies and a chance to experience the Tetons in all their grandeur.

great views

This was great for a family that has young kids or older family members that cannot really hike. We had both on our trip and it made it possible for us all to be together at the top of the mountain.

Operator response

We appreciate you sharing this with us! There’s something special about having the whole family experience the mountaintop together, especially when different ages and abilities are part of the adventure. We’re delighted JHMR could help make that shared moment possible for everyone in your group!

Did someone say waffles?

This was a great trip for all ages. Wait line was not long at all. We went around 3 on Sunday in early August. The waffles at the top are a must. So delicious! Plenty of time to explore the top of the mountain and enjoy the beautiful views. Would do again.

Operator response

Thank you for spending part of your Sunday with us! We love knowing the mountain offered a memorable outing for everyone in your group, with plenty of opportunity to wander the summit, take in the Tetons, and enjoy a waffle at Corbet’s Cabin along the way. We’re grateful you’d choose to experience it again and would be happy to welcome you back for another day on the mountain!

No shelter from the storm

It was a very nice experience until the gondola shut down at the top. Storm came up fast. Lightening. And no shelter. 100 plus people and we’re all just huddled around each other with no protection. Became a frightening experience. Guides offered no real help. Some people left to walk down which we heard was not a good idea at all. Many were standing on the metal grid waiting. Also not a good idea. The waffles shack is not large enough to shelter everyone from rain and lightening. Build a shelter for when the weather changes quickly.

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry that what began as an enjoyable visit became so unsettling when severe weather moved in. We understand how frightening it would have been to be caught at the summit during a lightning storm, especially when shelter options felt inadequate and guidance didn't provide the reassurance you needed. We appreciate you sharing your perspective on the need for additional protected space at the top, and we're grateful you brought these concerns to our attention. We hope you'll consider visiting again under calmer conditions so you can enjoy the mountain in a way that feels both memorable and comfortable.
