What an amazing ride! Madeline was our guide and she was so much fun! All of the horses were in great shape. You can tell they are well cared for. They gave great instructions for those who had not ridden before (there were three in our group). The scenery was so gorgeous. Great views of the Tetons. I would go back again in a heartbeat.
I did not feel safe. The horse, Patsy, would not accept my lead and kept running off trail. The guide says she did that all the time. I am an experienced rider and have never experienced a horse not following directions. It kept happening with another rider. Too many people on the ride and only one guide. Too many first time riders and small children. The guide kept screaming out details about the trees, except we could not hear her, which added to the already tense ride. The advertisement for this ride showed a ride through the water, this did not happen and was a let down.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about our guide, Jeremiah. My two daughters and 3 granddaughters ages 8-69 started out on our ride with the sun shining brightly. About 3/4 of the way through the ride, the rain came and then we saw lightening and heard thunder. My 8 year-old granddaughter started to cry. Jeremiah took off his own jacket and wrapped it around her. He then put a lead on her horse and walked her and the horse all the way back. He made her feel secure. When we got into the car after, her mother told her that is the type of man you should marry-a true gentleman.
We had a great time with chelsey as our tour guide. She was amazing and made my wife feel safe with her horse. The views of the tetons were amazing and they provided us rain gear so we were comfortable. I woyld highly recommend this trip.
Great experience, true ranch style riding tour. Great overview for safety on a horse and the terrain. Only downside was the weather, it rained once we got to the top and we’re coming down!! Potentially could have been avoided if groups were loaded quickly or in two different areas (private ride vs group ride). Wranglers were nice and knowledgeable and talked about the terrain, points of interest, plants.
Because of construction we cold not reach our destination on time.( maybe 10 minutes late) The viator person helped a lot but six heart ranch would not budge , offered me a ride in about a week and one-half. who usually gets to stay that long.
Super fun horseback riding trip! The guides were great, and the horses were well behaved. Beautiful scenery.
