We attended our first Opera. This is a great way as an introduction to Opera or if you would just like the experience this is more shorter version around 45 minutes, I thought it was great my partner enjoyed it even though it is not his thing . We booked via GetYourGuide and you can use our code NEFEAST5 for 5% off ,you can use code on any bookings and also use different emails as code only works once for each email.
Great performance and lovely setting. I was expecting a little more though, we had one singer and one piano player. Both were perfect but would of enjoyed another singer or some violins etc.
The venue is an old church with no signage out front. It was difficult to find and I passed it 4 times before I figured out it was a tiny church. The tour operator was unresponsive to my texts for help. There were no open windows in the church on a day that had been 90 degrees. We were all sweating and I felt awful for the singer. There was one loud fan set up that did little to cool the room and could not reach us where we were seated. I would have left had I been able to workout offending the performers. Also, with all the free music around Florence, paying for this show was a rip off. The singer and piano player were good, but not great and certainly not worth the money I paid. I am an avid music lover and concert attendee and this event was not worth attending. Very misleading advertising photo as well. The singer was in a cheap dress and the venue was rundown
This was such a lovely montage of opera songs (some we did not recognize, some were the very popular opera songs). The performers were so talented and professional. What voices! The piano accompanist was unbelievable. A terrific experience.
Wonderful evening of music. The opera singers voices were just beautiful and the setting made the experience magical. Be sure to be on time as it is a small venue and seats fill up quickly. Would highly recommend this experience.
Maria had a great voice and the piano was amazing. A definite must-see if you are visiting Florence and are looking for a cultural experience.
Very well done!. We enjoyed the opera, it was a very pleasurable evening.
Our opinions are mixed. One liked it, the other less so. The choice of songs was not up to the standard of an Italian opera; however, nothing to say about the singer's voice.
A very beautiful Italian experience appreciated by adults... and teenagers! We loved it. The church is intimate and peaceful; it naturally invites you to listen. The three singers have exceptional voices, just as the violinist and the pianist are talented. Time flies by so fast that we didn't see the hour pass. One of the best moments of our stay in Italy.
