TJ was just so friendly and informative (which as four New Zealand tourists) we really appreciated. TJ provided his full & interesting but thorough commentary about Gallipoli whilst his experienced driver drove us around to each site then the museum in a very comfortable vehicle. Very emotional but a most memorable day I will never forget.
Bucket list travel experience crossed off. My grandfather fought here and lived to tell the tale. Great trip with friendly happy drivers and our guide was a knowledge able and easy to get on with. TJs hotel greeted us with open arms for a lovely breakfast which even included Vegemite Happy friendly staff and service made the day a real pleasure. Highly recommend anybody to use the service of TJs tours for a great Gallipoli visit
Do the tour with TJ- you won't regret it! TJ grew up around the Gallipoli penninsula and married an Aussie( his hotel even provides vegimite toast). His knowledge is impeccable and incredibly informative ( About all sides ANZACs Turks and others) He is also a really fun guy who loves a chat and all things ANZAC/ Gallipoli related. (Bonus the van is beautifully air- conditioned 😊)
We long day we missed out on the winery but TJ our guide was very knowledgeable and very nice the tour was very informative
We did the option 4 day tour for Gallipoli 2025 through TJ’s Tours. The booking process was good & the 2 guides we had were fabulous (the reason for 1 star) but it all went downhill from there. Firstly, we booked last year & was advised that an email would be sent the first week of April, I eventually followed up on the 9th April as we were leaving for our holiday the following week. I was miffed of the wording that some passengers would be making their own way to Ecabat, why would they do that? Because the tour representative was not at the meeting point at 6am as advised in the email so the 4 passengers were walking around the area looking for her. The instructions said that the departure time was 7am but because we were all there we left Istanbul before that time…apparently the traffic would be too busy to leave later but people we met at the Gallipoli service stated there was no such issue. My partners suitcase handle was broken during the travel/arrival at the hotel that caused difficulties for us for the remainder of our European holiday..there was no apology or assistance to fix it. We arrived at 11.30, had lunch, went to the Canakkale museum & from 1.30pm until we went to Gallipoli at 9.30pm, we just had to sit around a daggy common area as we had no accomodation that night. We did not return to the hotel until mid afternoon on the 26th so we had been awake for 40 odd hours…so be prepared. The food at the hotel was very average. As I said the guides for Anzac Cove, Troy, Perganum & Ephesuswere fabulous as was the Dawn Service but the rest was abdominal. Surely there are other operators that do 4 day tours on the Anzac Day experience but I went on the reviews that were nothing like our experience! We struggled for 1 star.
TJ is an awesome bloke, happy to have a chat, so helpful too. I think TJ spoke better Aussie than me!! making the conversation so easy. A thoroughly fabulous, enjoyable and informative tour. An all round nice guy who made us feel so welcome. also gave us great advice about other places to see and eat. We also stayed at TJ hotel, which was recommended to us. We had a spacious and very clean room with a lovely balcony overlooking the water. The team at the hotel, were amazing, we were always greeted with a warm smile and they were very accommodating and friendly. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend the tour snd accommodation
The care for us and the responsibility taken of the tour management was exceptional. We had a slight hiccup with the pickup and drop off to our Hotel which was on the list. It seemed difficult to find for the driver. The determinations of the tour management and the patience of the rest of the group on tour made it all possible. We had a wonderful and extremely memorable day. Thanks TJ and your team.
TJ was a great host and very knowledgeable guide with a strong Aussie connection. Very informative for our smaller group and allowed us a nice amount of time at each stopping point. It was a long day starting from Istanbul but well worth it.
Huge thank you to TJ and all the staff there. We stayed at the hotel and did the tour. TJ's knowledge and passion for Gallipoli was outstanding, the room was fantastic with sea views, clean and everyone was super friendly. We enjoyed it so much we expended our stay. Great value for money! Thanks again to all the staff there! 😀
TJ did an excellent organising job in making sure everything went smoothly. We boarded our luxury 16 seater bus at 5.30am and had an enjoyable drive down the coast. TJ relayed a lot of interesting information and we visited many historical sites. I have no hesitation in recommending TJ's Anzac Gallipoli Tours as a tour that will not disappoint.
