Istanbul Aquarium is one of the largest thematic aquariums in Europe and a true gem of Istanbul. It is located in the modern Florya district, near the shores of the Marmara Sea. Covering a total area of 22,000 m², the aquarium offers visitors a unique marine journey through 17 themed zones, representing different regions of the world — from the tropical rainforests of South America to the coasts of the Black Sea. The aquarium is home to more than 1,500 species of marine and freshwater creatures, with a total of over 15,000 animals. Visitors can see sharks, rays, jellyfish, rare reptiles, and colorful tropical fish up close. One of the most impressive sections is the 80-meter tunnel aquarium, where visitors can walk among marine life and experience an unforgettable atmosphere.
