Intro to Lyon Dynamic Walking Tours with Local Guide

I joined the City Walk tour, and it was amazing! The meeting point was super easy to find thanks to her iconic yellow umbrella! The tour lasted 2 hours, which was the perfect length to explore the Old Town (Vieux Lyon) and the Bellecour area. Our guide, Anne, was very knowledgeable and fun. I participated as a solo traveler, but she made me feel completely welcome, striking up great conversations and sharing so many fascinating details about the city. It was the perfect opportunity to get to know the area. She also gave us recommendations for local museums and restaurants. Highly recommended for anyone visiting!

Interesting route with lots of information without being an overload. Good way to get your bearing into the old part. Nice tips to fill the further days. The discreet roads were cool. Recommended if you are completely new and want to discover more from the tour

Anne was an incredible tour guide, very knowledgeable of Lyon and engaging throughout the walk! Her tour provided my partner and I with glimpses of Lyon's past and allowed us to connect Lyon's historic past with the Lyon of today. We learned about the impact of the Lumiere Brothers and the city's ancient connection to the silk industry--both things that inspired my partner and I with enriching our visit by adding additional stops to the Lumiere Museum and a visit to one of France's most enduring silk printing factory. This visit was wonderful because it introduced us to the city and paved the way for us to explore things on our own, which is the hallmark of an excellent tour and an even more effective tour guide. Highly recommend Anne's walking tour for those seeking to immerse themselves in the city's rich history. (Bonus points for her pop culture knowledge at the Hotel Dieu!).

Our walking tour with Anne was fantastic. She really knows her Lyon history and is such a good storyteller. She was very personable and engaging and we hit all of the important spots in the city. I especially loved that she gave us recommendations for other things to do on our trip and the logistics to do them, like where to take the funicular from to reach the basilica. She gave us time to try Lyon praline brioche on our tour and was able to answer our questions. Bonus points, she knew all of the houses that had cats along our tour and pointed them out!
