Ice Odyssey at Columbia Icefield

Perfect experience with the blue vehicle. My 7 year and 14 year old loved it - we had a great time. Oh and ask for the tea at the glaciers

We loved our tour guide. She gets five star rating. Fun experience but so limited - we just walked around for a few minutes, took photos and left. For the price, was. It worth it. We. had a better glacier hike in Iceland last year for two hours, viewed crevasses and more.. if you are an adventure active outdoor person this is not for you. If you are sedentary, have never seen a glacier up close this might be for you.

Can’t recommend this trip enough! Family adventure in the biggest outdoor museum. The personalised service of the odyssey trip is absolutely worth it. Riley was our guide and driver - he was fab! Read our family well, was reassuring, friendly, full of interesting facts and stories. The skywalk after is good but after the odyssey a bit of a quieter experience.

If you are trying to decide if this tour is worth the extra cash just book it. It’s definitely value for money and a much more personal experience than the big bus! We were lucky enough to sit in the front cab which is noisy (but not unbearable) and if you get the chance to ride shotgun jump at it! Tori our driver and Tommy our guide were brilliant. Funny and personable and very knowledgeable. They really made the whole experience extra special for us! Thank you Team T n T!

What an incredible experience. Our guide, Kaitlyn, was super knowledgeable, professional and she had a great personality. The glacier was so awesome. You feel the majesty. I would absolutely do this tour again. We felt humbled and a sense of stewardship. We must all do our part to preserve this global treasure.

Ice Odyssey at the Columbia ice field. We had a really enjoyable and informative time on the ice field in a small group (9 people total). We spent time on the Athabaska glacier- dipped our faces in the water pouring off the top of the glacier surface and learned about ice mountaineering gear. We were given grips for our shoes so we wouldn’t slip and served herbal tea ( we could keep the cup as a souvenir). We then went on the sky walk which was impressive with spectacular views but far too busy which spoiled the experience. We also felt it was too expensive

The ice tour itself is fantastic. Keep in mind the vehicle is small and you need to be nimble to get in and out. The center where you meet and get your transfer to the icefield is an absolute crap show. Busy, crowded, unorganized. Pack your patience.

My husband & I just back from Banff and we did the Ice Odyssey @ Columbia Icefield and it was the absolute best experience. We had the best guides, Archie & Ava that gave us all of the highlights of the glacier. They were extremely informative & a lot of fun to do the tour with. Our group was just as good! We all decided to do a glacier facial & we all ducked our heads into the glacier running water (that was melting down the glacier) & it was so refreshing & it was great because our entire group did it & it was a great bonding experience & we all were just enjoying the beauty around us & laughing together. A+ tour that is a MUST!!!
