Hot-Air Balloon Flight over Florence

This morning we went on a hot air balloon flight over Florence. I had booked this as a birthday present for my other half even though I am not keen on heights. I needn’t have worried. The assent was so smooth, and the atmosphere while in the sky was so peaceful. We had 5 adults in our balloon. We shared our flight with a lovely Australian family. Ivan, our pilot, kept us uptodate before the trip and was very calmly reassuring during it. I recommend booking their transfer service too which was very efficient. The whole team were so friendly and welcoming. This is an experience that will stay with us forever.

AMAZING. Literally the BEST experience we had in Italy! TBH, I am deathly afraid of heights. I was not going to go. I did all the research and checked how it would get, etc. Yes, I was “frightened” but nothing like being on a tall building or on a cliff edge. You are so secure in the basket, the balloon takes off gradually, and the scenery is so breathtaking that honestly you forget about most of the rest of it. I was really skeptical. But I am so glad that I went. It was amazing. I felt so close to God and nature and just calmness. The guide was amazing… professional and friendly and really loves his job. His whole family (Son, Daughter, etc) help with the tour. Such a wonderful relaxing experience. You will love this. Don’t think about it… DO IT!

Wonderful! Perfectly arranged! We flew much longer above the city centre than expected and had sufficient time to look at all the beautiful buildings.

Our pilot was very friendly, professional, and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the whole experience. He explained everything clearly and made the ride even more enjoyable. A truly unforgettable experience, which I would do again without thinking twice. I booked the flight with Ivan, but we flew with his son, who has been flying since he was just two years old. His passion and experience are immediately apparent, and he conveys a great sense of serenity. For those who, like me, might have some hesitation or a little fear, he was truly reassuring. The rest of the team was also wonderful. Friendly, helpful, and able to make you feel at ease right away. Paolo, in particular, was super! Always ready to joke around and involve us. He even had us help deflate the hot air balloon! And then there is the flight. Seeing the Chianti region from above is something difficult to explain in words. Beyond the obvious beauty of the landscape, it is the feeling of absolute peace that overwhelms you. Up there everything seems to stop, the noise disappears, and you find yourself simply looking at the landscape, suspended in silence. At the end of the experience, as the icing on the cake, they popped a bottle of Prosecco for us and we all toasted together to the flight we had just taken. A simple moment, but perfect for ending a special morning. Thank you so much 🤍

I wanted to thank the whole staff for making my husband's birthday special. I gave him the hot air balloon flight as a gift, and he was speechless. From the moment of booking to the end of the final toast, everything was impeccable. The pilots explained everything to us; we felt safe and pampered. Seeing the sunrise/my husband's smile from above was emotional. Beautiful photos and a perfect landing. 10/10 experience, it is worth every euro. Thank you for this memory that we will carry with us forever. Truly an amazing experience. At first he was a little scared, but after 5 minutes he wanted to fly the hot air balloon himself. Postcard view + final toast = perfect birthday. Highly recommended as a surprise gift.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A simply unforgettable experience! I had a great time with Ballooning in Florence. Ivan and the whole staff were truly very kind, professional, and helpful. From the very first moment, they explained to me with passion how a hot air balloon works and even involved me in the preparation phases. I even participated in the inflation of the hot air balloon and was able to observe all the operations up close, such as the securing of the cables and the preparation for takeoff: it was truly interesting. And then the flight… simply breathtaking. Flying in a hot air balloon is a unique sensation: you feel cradled by the wind in an incredible silence. Looking at the landscape from above and realizing how small we are in front of the beauty of nature is an emotion that cannot be compared to anything else. I recommend this experience to anyone who wants to live something truly special. Thanks to Ivan and the whole team for making this day unforgettable!
