Fun excursion.
We were met and given warm cookies. We boarded the covered wagon and utilized the blankets. It was cold and raining. Our guide was Sony and driver Chad. Our 2 Belgiun horses were Rustin and Turbo. After 45 minutes, we arrived at the meal location (it was indoors). The meal was served promptly by smiling faces. Coleslaw, potato salad, pasta salad, chicken, ribs, salmon, vegetable chilli, corn on the cob. All delicious, but was not fond of the dessert (a cold blueberry bread). The free wine was much appreciated. The ride back was again cold and rainy. Chad very experienced with the horses (He is from Texas}. Sony was very knowledgeable about Alaska and horses. A fun excursion even though the weather didn't cooperate.

Awesome must do in Healy
This was a great time. We had a great time with our guide Marek from Prague. He had a lot of Knowledge and humor. The wagon was comfortable and the food was delicious and very plentiful

Black Diamond Covered Wagon-highly recommended!
Our excursion was excellent from beginning to end! Our tour guide, Marek was a real joy! His knowledge, humour and outstanding personality made our experience one to remember. Our teamster, Lexi was a competent team driver. She was pleasant and personable throughout our journey.
Our lunch was delicious and very plentiful. Our journey was made possible by the beautiful horses, Spike and Ray. Overall, it was qn outstanding experience!

Great time with Black Diamond!
We enjoyed the covered wagon ride with Sony & Chad. The warm cookie at the beginning was a nice welcoming touch. Sony did a great job sharing Denali facts & answering questions. Both her & Chad were friendly & personable. The food made by Fro was really good. We were not expecting such a variety of things to choose from (3 cold salads, 3 meats, vegetarian option, corn muffin & dessert too). It was a great tour & the value matched what we got.

Awesome! Great people, food was wonderful and beautiful ride! Very knowledgeable staff who let's you learn a lot of history while on the ride. Blankets provided if it's cold. Beautiful horses.

A slow paced ride along...
A slow paced ride along dirt trails seeing Mt Healy in the background. We rode up to a cabin and had a sumptuous meal family style. A more relaxing pace than the ATV tour on the same property.

Wagon train ride
Definitely worth it. Padded seats made for a comfortable wagon train ride. Saw moose. Food was good and filling.

Bucket list Trip to Alaska
I booked through Holland America as an excursion in Denali. I was not disappointed. What a fabulous experience! The horses were beautiful, well handled, and amazing to look at. Lexi is a great tour guide. very knowledgeable, warm, funny, and wonderful to listen to. Sony knew the horses, how to handle them, has been working with them for several years. I felt very comfortable going through the back country with her handling Spike & Ray. The food was outstanding. Loved all of it. Highly recommend this tour! Well worth the money.

Unique experience near Denali
This is a one- of-a- kind activity that I recommend, if you like horses and wagons and a unique experience in beautiful Alaska. Etien and Sony led a great tour. The horses were majestic, and the scenery magnificent, with the first snow dusting the mountaintops. If you get a chance to book this unique tour, do it!
