Hondarribia, San Juan & San Pedro from San Sebastian

Description
Discover three coastal gems on a Hondarribia, San Juan, and San Pedro tour from San Sebastian, blending border history, Atlantic scenery, and seafaring charm in just a few hours. Begin in Hondarribia, where the walled town and La Marina district showcase historic elegance and colorful balconies, while your guide shares maritime anecdotes and local tips. Climb Mount Jaizkibel for panoramic Basque coastline views, then continue to the Bay of Pasaia, visiting San Juan (Pasai Donibane) and San Pedro with stone houses, narrow lanes, and grill-fish taverns. Follow in Victor Hugo’s footsteps and, weather permitting, cross the estuary by boat for perfect photo opportunities. This day trip from San Sebastian brings together heritage, viewpoints, and maritime life, returning you to Donostia / San Sebastian with the salt of the Cantabrian Sea still on your skin and a handful of Atlantic stories to take home.

Nice intro to some Basque villages and the history behind it. Old fortified city. Sports rivalry between villages evident everywhere
Nice intro to a couple of Basque towns and the history behind them
A very instructive excursion, more than I expected, our guide Iker provided us with all the historical information about every corner and custom, I recommend it
We had a nice time. Guides were great and very informative. We traveled in a van. They picked us up at our hotel.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to venture outside of the San Sebastian "bubble." The beautiful medieval town of Hondarribia located on the border of France is packed with history. Our tour guide, Diego, resides in the town and was a veritable walking "encyclopedia" of information. His colorful stories about the whale hunting and rowing competition rivalry between the neighboring coastal towns added depth and interest to the tour.
Very beautiful city. Tour guide was very knowledgeable about the city and region. Time for tour was used wisely.
We went with my family and from the moment of pickup the guide was very kind. Very willing to tell us everything about his city as well as curious facts about the Basque Country. We recommend this tour without a doubt
The historic center of Hondarribia is very interesting and San Pedro is very picturesque. I had visited it the evening before from the sea with the sunset cruise, which I highly recommend doing along with this excursion. Ana, our guide and driver, spoke only in Spanish because I was the only one who had requested the use of English. She obviously offered to do it in English as well, but I didn't want to because I wanted to practice, I am studying it, and everything went very well. Thank you, Ana.
This was a very convenient, and comfortable, way to explore Hondarribia, and see parts of the Camino de Santiago (Camino del Norte- the stage from Hondarribia to San Sebastián). From start to finish- it was great!
Eider was great guide! The tour was very relaxing and fun.
