Small-Group Electric Bike Tour in San Sebastián

Description
San Sebastian has a large network of bike lanes. We have decided to take advantage of them and take you to explore the different districts of the city to see how we, the “donostiarras”, live our day to day life and show you the nicest corners. Discover the most authentic neighbourhoods of the city thanks to our Orbea electric bikes. Visit places of interest in the districts that are further away from the touristic areas of the city. Choose the tour that adapts better to your schedule, in the morning or in the afternoon. The small size of the group makes the experience more comfortable and safe. All of our guides are English speaking locals that love and enjoy the city.

Itinerary
We stop by the famous Bay of La Concha, to take photos but also to talk about what we see.
We visit a little bit of the gardens of this palace, a beatiful building with amazing views.
After an easy climb thanks to the electric bikes, we take a rest with the best views of the city.
We cross one of the nicest neighbourhoods in the city, El Antiguo, to go to the university campus, the westernmost part of San Sebastian.
At this point, we will cycle through a tunnel almost a kilometre long. This pleasant journey will take us from the west of the city to the centre, passing through the Amara neighbourhood.
From the west to the south, we stop by the Reale Arena, formerly Anoeta, to talk about football and other sports.
We ride by the river and cross it through one of the many bridges in San Sebastian so we can visit the other side of the city.
Your last stop is by another beach, La Zurriola, known for its waves, so it's always full of surfers.

Great bike tour. I’m 68 and had not ridden a bike in years. These bikes were super easy to operate and I got clear instructions. The bike ride itself was great. We went all over town and saw some local areas where we would not have traveled. Super fun. Our guide was super entertaining!!
Thank you very much for the review :) We are happy to listen that you both enjoyed the tour and the bikes!
Fabulous few hours in the company of P Very knowledgable about the basque region , politics and history of San seb .
Hi Jo! We are glad that you enjoyed the tour with Pelayo :)
Excellent way to travel thru San Sebastian. We had a great guide and there is plenty of time to absorb the city and take photos. Bicycles are good quality and uts a very easy relaxed ride.
Thank you for the review :) We are glad that you enjoyed the tour with us!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour by e bike. The bikes were in excellent condition and easy to use. We were able to cover a huge area of the city with little effort, including climbing a big hill that would have been impossible on a normal bike. Our guide Colten was excellent and being from the area he was able to answer any questions we had. He also helped us navigate the bike lanes (really well laid out in the city). We would definitely recommend this tour and Colten too!.
Thank you very much for this great review :) We are happy to listen that you had such a great experience with Colten!
Pretty easy riding..but pedal assist with no electric throttle..we have e-bikes at home so we were very familiar
Hi Lisa! It's a pity that the Ebikes were not what you expected... however, we are glad that you enjoyed the tour the same way :) Thanks for the review!
Hats off to our guide Colten! He was knowledgeable and passionate about San Sebastian and the Basque Country. He always made sure everyone was caught up when riding and was fun and personable. The history and info he gave us was helpful to navigate the next couple of days here. The bike worked great and the tour showed us a great deal of places. Thanks for a great tour Colten!
Hi! Thank you for your review :) We are glad that you enjoyed the tour with Colten!
This was well worth doing. Colton our guide was very interesting , not pushy but friendly and knowledgeable. Cycle was a good pace with stops that were a good length. The small group was fabulous. Colton’s recommendations for other things to do was also great. Would recommend doing another trip with this outfit but we were leaving the next day. .
Hi! Thank you very much for the review :) We are glad that you enjoyed the tour with Colten!
Excellent bike tour! Perfect to do as a family with our 12 yr old. We were able to see a lot of the city and made a few stops along the way.
Hi Bridget! We are happy to listen that you had a good experience with us :)
We booked this e‑bike tour to celebrate our 25th anniversary, and it ended up being one of the absolute highlights of our entire trip. If you’re visiting San Sebastián, this is a MUST‑DO experience. Our guide, Hegoi, was awesome, and so genuinely proud of his city. He shared San Sebastián’s history and insights that we never would have discovered on our own. His energy made the tour feel personal and unforgettable. We had never been on e‑bikes before (and we are definitely not athletic!), but the bikes made everything easy, comfortable, and FUN. The hills were a breeze, the views were breathtaking, and we felt confident and safe the entire time. It’s truly an experience for all ages and abilities, completely doable and absolutely worth it.
Wow! Thank you very much for this great review :) We are really happy to listen that you had such a great time with Hegoi!
Good way to see the city but in August 2026 not all itinerary items visited. Took the e-bike tour as thought we would have longer distances and hills to climb but as tunnel mentioned in itinerary was closed for maintenance an alternative route was taken missing university and all Mount Igeldo, without prior notice. The new route was all relatively flat with only 12km covered in 3 hours, probably manageable on a regular cycle for the more competent. The guide Alain, was very knowledgeable and gave a great insight to Basque life, sports etc. Was good to see things a little further afield and the cycle lane network is super for cyclist's so would recommend this for those less inclined to pedal hard. Or after September when the tunnel opens and you hopefully get to see all mentioned.
Hi Anna! We really appreciate you leaving us a review :) As you say, it’s a shame that the tunnel is closed for several months, but it’s something we can’t prevent (perhaps, as you say, it would have been nice to give some notice). We’ll bear that in mind. We hope to see you in the city again so you can visit the Morlans Tunnel!
