Everything was rushed...

Everything was rushed One guest asked for help/instructions for the electric bike and the guide said that he would work it out as we go along!

Do this!

This is a great tour for getting to know the city and its history. Our guide Terek was great. The pace is leisurely and the e-bikes make it easy to get around.

thank you very much

Do the free walking tour instead

Honestly we had done the free walking tour the day before and it covered all the same information. The tour guide the day before was local and had a lot more energy. I would have skipped this knowing that. We got off and talked for long periods of times, I wish we would have done more biking.

Operator response

Sorry for your dissapointed, Next time read carefully what we offer. We have been doing this for so long and customer like it alot. So I believe this is not our fault so giving a review is not necessary. Of course you are free for write....and this is your text message... Hello, my name is Allie. We had a tour today and I must admit I’m quite disappointed. I thought it was more biking opposed to riding and hopping off every couple hundred meters to talk about the town. I plan to leave a bad review because in all honesty, a free Walking tour offers the same exact thing and if we want to rent bikes it’s much more affordable than to pay €150 for two adults and an infant which is absurd. I will hold back my poor review if we can get a 50% refund please consider it. Thank you.

Fun and informative bike tour

Tarik was an excellent guide, knowledgeable about all things Donostia. He was friendly, and gave us plenty of helpful tips for the rest of our visit. The bike ride was easy to maneuver, even without using the e-assist, and a great way to see the city!

Operator response

Wonderful, thank so much you enjoyed Tarikś tour.

Book this bike tour!

We had an absolutely brilliant bike tour with Julen today and couldn’t recommend it more. To be honest, we were a little hesitant at first. We usually book bike tours with Dutch guides because we’ve often found that Spanish guides can be quite difficult to understand in English. But Julen completely changed our minds. As a Basque Brit, his English is excellent, clear and effortless to follow. He’s enthusiastic and has a great way of telling stories. Rather than overwhelming you with endless dates and facts that you’ll forget five minutes later, he explains the history and culture in a way that feels relevant, interesting and easy to remember. He also answered every question with genuine enthusiasm. The route itself is fantastic. Unlike some bike tours we’ve done in other cities, where you’re constantly getting on and off your bike, this one lets you actually enjoy cycling. You cover a large part of San Sebastián, ride along the beautiful bay and beachfront, and see an incredible amount of the city in just two and a half hours. We also appreciated the coffee and toilet stop halfway through, which made the pace really comfortable. The electric bikes were in great condition and made the ride enjoyable for everyone. As a lovely finishing touch, Julen shared loads of great recommendations for restaurants, bars and things to do in the area, which really added extra value to the experience. If you’re wondering whether to book this tour, don’t hesitate. Just do it. The groups are small, which makes the whole experience feel personal, relaxed and enjoyable. A perfect introduction to San Sebastián… I mean, Donastia. Thanks again, Julen!

A great tour around town

This was the perfect way to break up the day and going on the first day, we had a great idea of the towns layout. Our guide Tarik was just brilliant, filling us in on all the local history at various stops. Our only negative would be why we could travel to the famous sculptures at the end of the bay whilst we had the bikes as it was quite a walk from the old town. Highly recommended.

Great way to discover San Sebastian with an excellent tour guide!

Discovering a city by bike is always the best way to learn a city. We did this in San Sebastian with a great tour guide Tarik! We had an e-bike, but to be honest not really needed as most roads we did were flattish. Tarik is a very passionate and proud guide and had many interesting stories about San Sebastian and its history. He speaks excellent English and takes time to explain everything in debt. We enjoyed the tour a lot and would highly recommend to book it and ask for him as a guide!

Operator response

Thanks so much, we are very glad you enjoyed Tarik adventure.

Trouble keeping up

The guide’s talks were excellent. Our problem was that we had not bicycled in years and never on e-bikes. So we were trying to learn the bikes, and at the same time keep up with the group while avoiding vehicles, pedestrians, and other bicycles. The San Sebastian bike lanes are an inherently difficult environment. There are two narrow lanes, one for each direction, with no separation from vehicular traffic. We fell behind, lost the group, and had to call the bike shop to figure out how to rejoin. We were told that this happens every day.

Operator response

You are free to write your expierence. But thi sis not fare for us. Because it is not our fault they way the bidegorri is biult and even less that you are not use to bikes. Sorry agaian for not having agreat expierence but it is not fair to leave a 3 star because of what you write
