Meeting point
Meet your guide wearing red lanyard. Meeting next to our black sign, OUTSIDE Oxford Tourist info centre, 15 Broad street, OX1 3AS. This is also next to the Oxfam shop which has a green sign above its shop.
Description
There are several options for Oxford Harry Potter tours- indeed, we created the original Hogwarts tours here which have since been much copied and we have led tens of thousands of Muggles of all ages. However, this experience includes entry to all three of the film sites on an extended tour which is aimed at the most fanatical of you Muggles who want to squeeze into one day to make the most of your day trip to Oxford!
In the morning, we will visit inside New college and stop by the Turf Tavern which is said to have inspired the Three Broomsticks and is where the actors used to relax after filming.
Then you have some limited free time to get a quick lunch stop. In the afternoon, you will see inside the Divinity school at the Bodleian library and then finish with self guided entry to Christ church.
Note that entry to Duke Humfreys library at the Bodleian is not included and the only reason why is because its entry tickets usually sell out, 2 weeks ahead but we can advise you on it.

Itinerary
Christ Church
Admission included60 min
Pre paid entry self guided audio guide basis is arranged for you as Christ church prohibits guiding inside. So the entry recommended one hour duration is after the guide checks you in and leaves. Thus your tour averages 3 hours guided plus 1 hour self guided.
Entry ticket worth up to £24 per person included.
On any dates, when Christ church hall is closed, we will either remove the tour from sale or warn you, if the hall is viewing from door only- see exclusions section for such exceptional dates.
Default itinerary is tour ends with Christ church entry at 2.45pm. If there are ever partial closures, we may change entry slot but we we will advise you before the tour and offer option to cancel or to get part refund, if you cannot adapt to any dates with exceptional partial closures.
Audio guides are available in multiple languages too.
New College
Admission included45 min
Entry is with the guide and the entry fee worth £12 per person is paid by the guide for you.
See where they filmed scenes from the Goblet of fire such as Malfoy being transfigured into a ferret in the medieval quadrangle.
New college is not in fact ''new''- it dates back to 1379 and it's said to be haunted too. As and when open, we see inside the medieval dining hall and the chapel. We see the gardens and main quadrangle and the medieval Oxford city walls- which actually appears as a backdrop photo morphed into an image in the films.
We typically schedule to visit New college at 10.30am as the dining hall can close as early as 11.15 to 14.30, so if you specifically ask to book the tour at a different start time, please be aware you may miss seeing the Great Hall.
Warner Bros asked to film the halls of New, Christ church and of Keble and all three colleges turned them down to film in their halls, so the Great Hall was built at Warner Bros studio but looks like an Oxford hall!
Bodleian Library
Admission included15 min
NOTICE: Divinity school closes often, so see Exclusions for dates closed. As & when, the Divinity school at the Bodleian library is open, the tour includes £3 entry fee to see inside. Note that guiding is no longer permitted inside but we tell you all about the venue outside and can accompany you inside to help you take photos, wearing our dress up gowns, hats, wands etc.
Divinity school is where they filmed dance scenes yule ball & infirmary scenes of Hogwarts.
Divinity school is where the theology students did their oral exams in Latin, dating back to the 15th century.
Note the above the Divinity school at the Bodleian is Duke Humfreys library, where they also filmed library scenes. However, Duke Humfreys is never open to children aged under 11, nor to private guides. If you also wish to visit Duke Humfreys library, make sure to go onto Bodleian library website and book a Bodleian library staff guided tour. Bodleian library tours start from £12 and sell out 2 weeks ahead too!

Which colleges or churches we may visit inside of can change lots from one day to the next and based on what time you may book the tour but we plan to visit inside at least two local churches and one college or more which have the most relevance to introducing the theme of this tour.

We walk past and introduce this pub as the alleywall there is said to have inspired JK Rowling for Diagon alleyway and the pub serves Hogsmeade and is where the adult actors used to drink and relax after filming. Professional and unique experience
Our guide led us through Oxford, and talked us through its fascinating history and modern day life. They had stories from Anglo Saxon Oxford right up to the present day. It was great to be led through the ages as we walked the streets. We also went to the Divinity School which is a filming location for Harry Potter. We really enjoyed Oxford and felt that this tour and had something for everyone. I think it was the best walking tour I’ve ever done !

Awesome
It was a fantastic tour of Oxford led by our guide Peter Bevlogen and with great humor he told us everything about Oxford and led us past Harry Potter film locations and gave us many tips for the rest of our trip. Our children (11 and 13 years old) loved it, I would recommend this tour to everyone!!

Great Harry Potter Tour of Oxford University!
Thank you Peter for a fabulous Harry Potter Tour of Oxford University. Your enthusiasm shone through and you made us forget all about the rotten weather. So much interesting information and Peter encouraged questions and always had the answer. We will certainly use your company again when we return in the future.
Thanks again for an entertaining and informative tour. Well done!

A morning in Oxford
The tour was great, Renata was our guide, she is very kind and make the visit very interesting and fun. Just take care about the meeting point to start because even when they give you an address you need to wait in the street, not in the real facilities of the location (the address is a location of another tours company, with no relationship with this)... and if you arrive early, there is nobody there to inform you anything...

Hi Gabriela,
Thanks for recommending your tour with Renata.
Yes, the visitor info centre are NOT helpful as they have their own limited range of tours which they sell inside, so there is an agenda there, if you see what I mean.
Thanks for highlighting that we do indeed therefore ask our clients to meet OUTSIDE the visitor info centre as per our advertised meeting point as follows:
TOURS MEETING POINT:
All Oxford tours meet OUTSIDE Oxford visitor info centre, 15 Broad street, OX1 3AS.
Your guide will be wearing a red <iloveoxford> lanyard & you will see our advertising signage for 'Visit Oxford Tours'.
I hope that clarifies things.
Sincerely,
Alasdair

Best Tour made special by our tour guide Peter T
This was a surprise present for our anniversary. My fiance and I went on the tour with Peter T. He was incredibly informative and knew all the spots to take photos. My fiance is a big fan of the books and films so he made sure she was not disappointed by the tour. We were given snacks during the trip and we felt very welcomed by Peter.
The tour was made extra special by Peters tour guiding skills.

great tour with Sophie
I had a great tour with Sophie (I was alone with her so we can speak a lot about movies and others stuffs about Oxford). I loved to discover the different places (like the cloister in Harry Potter) and spoke with her about books and the life in different colleges.

Harry Potter and much, much more...
We had one short weekend in Oxford and we had signed up for a tour on Saturday morning. Peter met our group and got us ready, handing out Harry Potter capes and magic wands and getting us in the mood, but the beauty of this tour is that Peter was a walking encyclopedia of history, stories, movies, and current events. I now have a list of must-sees and long to get up to speed in my knowledge of British history... so that I can come again and feast on the incredible delights Oxford has to give.
