What a great way to see and learn about Charleston. Our guide was informative and personable. It was 2.5 hours. A built in stop to use a restroom would be my only suggestion for improvement.

Highly recommend if you love history. Amy, our guide was pleasant and funny. She loves her job as a guide and has a passion for history. The tour was enjoyable for all who love the history of this great city! Amy gave a lot of information.
We took this walking tour on a morning that started out with rain, but we didn’t notice because this tour completely captured our attention. Dennis, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and presented all the history in such an interesting way. Our first stop was St. Michael’s Church which is such a very old, beautiful church. We also went inside the Dock Theater which was lovely. Along the way we saw lots of lovely, historic places; beautiful, tranquil courtyards; and interesting little public alleys… and we heard so many little details about what made the wonderful city of Charleston what it is today. This gentleman really knows his stuff and communicated it in a fun and interesting way. We’ve all been to Charleston multiple times and wished we had done this sooner. HIGHLY recommend.
We so enjoyed our walking tour of downtown Charleston. Our tour guide, David, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We took an early tour to avoid the heat. This tour was a wonderful way to see the sights up close.
Great tour. Very knowledgeable and engaging guide. It was neat to learn about the history and architecture of the area
Duggar was an excellent tour guide, he was very friendly and knowledgeable.
very informative, enjoyable and considerate. always able to find shade on a very warm day. learned a lot of history
Great walking tour of downtown Charleston on a very warm sunny afternoon. Our guide pointed out extraordinary features found in Charleston. Due to his knowledge of construction and architecture he was able to discuss features of historic homes and what it takes to build new in the area. He has a great depth of experience in all things Charleston, a good sense of humor keeping the tour lively and since it was a very hot day modified the walk some to maximize our time in the shade. Al Mixson is an excellent guide and you will be entertained and fascinated on his walking tour!
Our tour guide (Duggar Baucom) was very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, aware of the group (very hot, worked to keep us in the shade), and gave us an experience that strongly enhanced our trip to Charleston. I would 110% recommend his tour to anybody visiting.
Al’s tour was phenomenal and one of the best we have ever done. Made our trip and highly recommend it
