Not a day trip

We took the bullet train from Tokyo to Hiroshima and back. Our train left at 6:00 am and we did not return until 11:00 pm. Entirely too long for a day trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided a great tour. We were just too exhausted to enjoy the tour. The entire day poured down rain so many of the walking tours could have been limited providing more time inside where it was dry.

Operator response

Dear Patricia, Thank you very much for sharing your detailed feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that the experience felt too long and exhausting for you. This tour covers a significant distance in a single day, which requires an early departure and a late return in order to complete the full itinerary. We understand that this pace may feel demanding and we sincerely regret that it affected your overall enjoyment. That said, we truly appreciate your kind words about your guide. We are glad to know their knowledge and dedication made a positive impact during the day. Regarding the weather, we completely understand how continuous rain can limit the experience, especially during walking visits. Unfortunately, weather conditions are beyond our control, but we truly value your suggestion and will take it into account as we continue improving our service. Thank you again for your feedback. Kind regards, Ramos, Quality Team

They left me

The tour bus in Hiroshima left without me. I only had 14 minutes to make it from the train to the bus meeting point and the directions weren’t very good. I know I was close and I showed pictures of the meeting spot to several other tour guides and they didn’t recognize it. Nobody tried to reach me - they just left. Worse yet, they told me I had to get my own ticket back to Tokyo ($150) and they didn’t refund any of my money even after several requests.

Operator response

Dear Jimmy_B, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your situation. Our tours operate on a strict schedule, and for respect to the rest of the group, the bus cannot wait beyond the scheduled departure time. A margin of five minutes is considered, but punctuality is essential. The meeting point details are provided clearly in advance, and it's important to arrive with enough time in case of delays or difficulty locating the area. We understand this was frustrating, but our team must follow established policies. Best regards from Amigo Tours Rodrigo
