The Villa d'Este is a 16th-century villa in Tivoli, near Rome, famous for its terraced hillside Italian Renaissance garden and especially for its profusion of fountains. It is now an Italian state museum, and is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site.
Hadrian's Villa (Villa Adriana in Italian) is a large Roman archaeological complex at Tivoli, Italy. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is the property of the Republic of Italy, and has been directed and run by the Polo Museale del Lazio since December 2014.

Fabio was very knowledgeable and a great multi lingual guide. The villas themselves were very beautiful.
Excellent tour, and great option to avoid Rome on a hot and crowded day. Its mix of Roman history from ancient to medieval probably creates a unique experience. Fabio our guide was knowledgeable, multi lingual and made the tour enjoyable. Be prepared though for lots of walking.
It was a wonderful walk. I don't know if I liked Vila Deste or Vila Adriano more. One has more history and the other more natural beauty. Our guide Fábio was wonderful. He spoke English and Spanish and explained everything very well.
Amazong tour led by our guide Fabio. We visited both villas in half day and the connections between Rome with a modern bus was key in middle of the summer.
