Premil is Remarkable. His knowledge of Sri Lanka religion, history, economics, wildlife is amazing. He deserves 10 Stars
Premil took us through a textbook review of fishing , Hinduism, local birds, Negombo culture. He is very personable and has a great sense of humor.
We visited the fish market, the processing of fish from the local fishermen as well as the process of getting the fish to market. He also took us to a Hindu temple and explained the history of Hinduism in Negombo and some of the Religious beliefs in Hinduism. Premil also took us to A Catholic Church in the neighborhood.
He outlined the history of Negombo from the perspective of one who has grown up in the community.
Premil’s knowledge extended to bird life in the local area. He often pointed out birds on our walk.
He spoke of the difficulty that Sri Lankans have faced in economic issues, financial failures and successes. He asked about Canada and drew comparisons with Sri Lanka.
This individual is of notable intelligence and is able to articulate his culture as a young citizen in this country.
We probably have participated in tours in 100 countries. Premil has as good a grasp on the subject matter of this country as the best that we have encountered.
Operator response
We are profoundly grateful for your incredibly detailed and heartfelt review of your experience with Premil. Your words don’t just describe a tour – they paint a vivid picture of the immersive cultural journey we aspire to create for every traveler.
Premil is indeed a remarkable ambassador of Sri Lanka’s rich heritage, and your recognition of his deep knowledge (from fishing traditions to religious diversity, local ecology to economic realities) and his ability to connect these elements meaningfully to global contexts is the highest compliment we could receive. That he could engage you so thoughtfully – especially given your extensive global travel experience – speaks volumes about his exceptional qualities as both a guide and cultural interpreter.
What touches us most is how you’ve captured Premil’s unique ability to blend professional expertise with genuine human connection through his humor and curiosity about your Canadian perspective. This intellectual and cultural exchange is exactly what we hope to facilitate.
We’ve shared your eloquent praise with Premil and our entire team – such feedback inspires us to keep elevating our standards. Should your travels ever bring you back to Sri Lanka, we’d be honored to arrange another deeply insightful experience for you.

Professional. Going the extra mile to ensure a good time in Lanka!
I first connected with Prem for the Negombo walking tour. His guide Shashi was very insightful and patient through the entire walk. He waited at each sight and took ample breaks for photos or just breathers in the summer sun. Prem also helped me with drivers for long cross country journeys from Kandy to Trincomalee and from Colombo to Galle. Both the journeys featured well maintained cars, considerate drivers and a comfortable drive! Special shout out to Samith from Prem’s team who went above and beyond in helping us with safe accommodation. All in all, 5 stars for excellent no-fuss support through my trip in Sri Lanka.
Operator response

It brings us immense joy to know that our team’s efforts made your travels in Sri Lanka comfortable, insightful, and truly memorable.
Shashi will be thrilled to hear you appreciated his patience and knowledge during the tour, and we’re so glad Prem could arrange smooth, hassle-free transfers for your longer journeys. Samith, in particular, will be touched by your special mention—he truly embodies our commitment to going the extra mile for our guests.
Your praise for our well-maintained vehicles, considerate drivers, and no-fuss service means the world to us. Providing reliable and thoughtful support is at the heart of what we do, and feedback like yours inspires us to keep raising the bar.
It was a pleasure to be part of your Sri Lankan adventure, and we’d be honored to welcome you back for more explorations in the future. Until then, safe travels and warm wishes from all of us!

Amazing walking tour of Negombo
We did the Negombo Walking Tour today with Shashi and had an amazing time. Shashi showed us some local Hindu temples, St Mary's Church, Negombo Lagoon and local markets including the very lively Fish Markets where we got to see the traditional processes of drying fish.
Shashi was very knowledgeable, relaxed and friendly, sharing his local experiences and taking us around to beautiful historic places of Negombo. We would highly recommend.
