Half Day Walking Tour of Cusco

Itinerary

20 min

We begin at the dazzling main square, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Surrounded by the majestic Cusco Cathedral and the Church of the Society of Jesus, this historic plaza is the heart of the city’s cultural and architectural heritage. We’ll also point out important sites such as the Inka Museum, setting the stage for an immersive journey through Cusco’s past.

20 min

We’ll explore this significant Inca site, believed to be the birthplace of Pachacutec, the ninth ruler of the Inca Empire and a key architect of its expansion and greatness.

20 min

We’ll visit the world-famous 12-angled stone, a masterpiece of Inca engineering and precision. Nearby, we’ll also discover the lesser-known 13-angled stone-equally impressive and a testament to the extraordinary craftsmanship of the Inca civilization.

20 min

We continue to the charming San Blas neighborhood, widely known as the artisans’ quarter. This historic area was once home to Cusco’s most renowned sculptors and woodcarvers. Today, it is filled with art workshops, galleries, and fine handicraft shops that preserve the city’s artistic legacy.

20 min

We’ll visit this ancient ceremonial huaca, an important sacred site that formed part of the Inca religious and ritual system, offering insight into their spiritual worldview.

20 min

We’ll discover a hidden architectural gem of Cusco-an elegant example of colonial hydraulic engineering that continues to impress with its design and historical significance.

20 min

This picturesque street is one of Cusco’s most charming corners. Highly photogenic, it beautifully blends Inca, colonial, and modern influences, making it a perfect spot to appreciate the city’s layered history.

20 min

We finish at one of the best panoramic viewpoints in Cusco. Located next to the San Cristóbal Church-built over an Inca palace-this spot offers breathtaking views of the entire city, combining history, scenery, and a deep sense of Andean spirituality.

Great Tour

Great tour. I booked it to help get acclimated to the elevation, but we took away some great information about Incan construction and history. Recommended!

A must for first timers in Cusco

What a great way to get to know Cusco with a half day walking tour. Condor led us through the market where we tried the local fruits and learned about the types of Peruvian food. From there, we learned about the architecture and found the Puma and Serpent right next to a great souvenir shop (which gives a Condor discount). We ended the tour with a taste of Chicha Morada. If you are coming to Cusco for the first time, you must take this tour which will educate and familarize you with the area.
