Museo Convento San Francisco y Catacumbas
After finishing our exploration of Unión Street, we will walk along Ucayali and Lampa streets, where you’ll continue discovering the rich history of Lima and learning about its people and daily life. We will then visit one of the city’s most impressive landmarks: the Monastery of San Francisco and its fascinating underground catacombs. Here, you’ll gain insight into the culture and traditions of Lima’s inhabitants during the colonial period of the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. Great tour
Excellent walking tour. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable. She was kind enough to wait for an extra 10 minutes as our party was late due to the awful traffic. The highlight for me was having her point out the balconies and architecture and the visit to the Catacombs. The added bonus was the churros, which was delicious.

The half day tour is an excellent way to see the highlights of the historic centre. Adam, our English guide was excellent and answered all the questions we asked. They will pick you up at your accommodation point and during the driving time to the centre will provide history and interesting facts about Lima.
