Itinerary
As you leave Halifax, you'll enjoy a scenic 1:30-hour drive along the beautiful coastline of St. Margaret's Bay, from the village of Hubbards to the iconic Peggy's Cove. After arriving in Peggy's Cove, you'll have an hour to visit the world's most popular lighthouse, explore the local fishing village, and even sample some local seafood if you like! Witness the power of the ocean as waves crash against the rugged and rocky coastline. Peggy's Cove will treat you to incredibly beautiful landscapes and leave you with memories that will last a lifetime.
As you leave Peggy's Cove and head back to Halifax (1:00 hr. approximate time), your next stop will be the Fairview Lawn Cemetery, where the remains of 121 Titanic victims are interred. The tragic loss of the RMS Titanic on April 15, 1912, was felt all over the world, including in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Due to Nova Scotia's close proximity to the Titanic's last known position, recovery ships from Halifax were dispatched to conduct the grizzly task of recovering those who perished. Halifax is home to the largest concentration of Titanic graves in the world. As you walk through the cemetery, you'll learn about the lives of those who were lost, the details surrounding the memorial, and the heartbreaking story of the unknown child of the Titanic.

We went on this excursion from our cruise ship. Jeff was our guide. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and talkative. He had a plethora of information about the Titanic passengers and also interesting facts and stories. I appreciated his interest and obvious research of those buried from the ship wreck. It was also a beautiful day at Peggy’s cove so that added to our enjoyment of the excursion.
Nilah was amazing tour guide for us when we arrived in Halifax on Tuesday, August 11. She was very personable and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. She was a safe driver and made sure we got some trivia answers for when we got home.
Jeff was full of knowledge and passion, and made the tour that much better! It was the perfect amount of time at each stop, and the group size was indeed small (sprinter van), which helped move from spot to spot quickly without having to wait for everyone to get on/off.
It was awesome the person that led it was great informative and easy to talk with. She gave enough time in all the place to enjoy the atmosphere.
Carly and Jeff were waiting at the pier when we disembarked the ship. Carly was our tour guide and was very personable and informative with a lot of knowledge about the area and very specific insider details about the Titanic passengers and recovery efforts. I would recommend this tour to others.
A worthwhile tour of the main features of Halifax. Guide was extremely knowledgeable about the Titanic (maybe too much info) when we stopped at the Cemetery and the hour spent at Peggy's Cove was just the right amount of time. Was not rushed.
What a fantastic tour! An amazing tour guide, and their passion for the community was infectious. We learned a lot. Great tour!!!
Jeff was exceptional. His knowledge level was fantastic on all parts of trip, he spoke clearly, entertaining, one of the best trips like this we have had. Answered all questions. Safe driver, comfortable van. Bravo!!!
