Settled in 1753, Lunenburg is the second oldest British colony in Canada and home to the world famous tall ship, Bluenose II. Strolling through the streets of Lunenburg will take you back to an era long ago, when most of the inhabitants made their livelihood from the bounty of the sea and home to some of the finest seafood in Canada. See for yourself why this small charming town is one of the most endearing of its kind. You'll have 2:30 hrs. (approximate) to explore the Lunenburg at your leisure and have lunch at one of the town's seafood restaurants.
After you leave Lunenburg, you'll be on your way to Peggy's Cove, home to one of the most famous light houses in the world and Nova Scotia's most iconic landmarks. The scenic drive to Peggy's Cove will take 1:30 hrs. (approximate). The rugged and captivating landscape is awe inspiring for those who have never witnessed the power of the sea, as waves crash along the coastline. You'll have 1 hr. (approximate) to explore the cove's fishing village, browse some of the area's small quaint shops, and take some amazing photographs that you'll cherish for years to come. The tour concludes with your stop in Peggy's Cove and you will return to Halifax 1 hr. (approximate) later.

Had 14 adults in a 15 passenger van, with two ninety minute drives and one 60 minute drive - very poor planning on the part of Viator and/or the local tour company (Anchor.) Ride was extremely uncomfortable especially since we were in the back row, which was designed for 10 year olds.
There were (13) guests with us yesterday. You and your husband were among them. You were offered another availablle seat but refused to take it. You're guide explaned that there was no assigned seating and that if you came back to the pick-up point a few minutes early, you could have your choice of seats. Yet you failed to do so. We refunded your booking in light of your complaint. We've donee everything we could to address your situation. Jeff Babineau Anchor Tours
Lunenberg wonderful. Peggy's cove beautiful . Both great experiences but Lunenberg my favourite place
The driver was very personable and knowledgeable about the area, but we had assumed some touring of Lunenberg. We were just dropped off and told to return on 2.5 hours. Tour was longer than advertised which was necessary and fine for us but be aware you will be gone 8 hrs
Great trip, we loved the shops in Lunenberg and the experience of Peggy’s cove. The guide was very nice! Would recommend.
Lovely trip with a friendly & knowledgeable tour guide. Both places, Lunenburg & Peggy’s Cove were worth visiting.
Our travel agent booked the excursion and once our trip was coming up, we were informed ahead of time of when and where to pick us up. The day of the trip we were picked up on time and was greeted by Nilah Shea who was outstanding throughout the day. The trip and guided tour towards the excursions made us interested to learn more about Halifax and would love to come back again! Thank you Anchor Tours!
The scenery is so beautiful. I loved the tour but would have liked a bit more time at Peggy’s Cove. Robert was an excellent tour guide.
Awesome experience. Robbert was a great ambassador for all things Nova Scotia.
Such an amazing experience. Our tour guide Nilah, was amazing; she was very knowledgeable and had great tips and tricks for us at each spot we went to. She took us through a few backroads so we could see the wonderful views leading up to the coast. We were given plenty of time at each location to stop, shop, sightsee, and eat. Overall, it was such a great experience, and I would recommend it anyone who is looking to explore/visit these places.
A really lovely day out. Nilah was so friendly with loads of interesting information about Halifax and the places we visited. Perfect amount of time at both Lunenburg and Peggy’s Cove and prompt service and pick ups. I really enjoyed it; thank you Nilah.
