Informative Tour
Very informative tour that covered a lot of ground. Our group of 4 (2 couples) met the guide and started on the 3 hour tour. It lasted a little bit longer than 3 hours and was very interesting. The Gamelan orchestra was amazing. Our guide was knowledgeable but the whole 3 hours was constant walking and standing... in the heat and humidity that was exhausting. It would have been nicer if there had been a short break in between the Sultan's palace and the water garden instead of doing a coffee at the end of the tour. Or even a place to stand in the shade would have been helpful!
Great experience but come wearing a hat or bring an umbrella to create your own shade and a water bottle is a must!

Keraton and Taman Sari Tour - very enjoyable and well worth the experience - our guide was fantastic
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide, like the others we have had whilst in Yogyakarta was first class. So very welcoming and friendly. He was very knowledgeable and explained the history and current status of the royal dynasty, palace (Keraton) and water castle (Tamin Sari) in such an interesting manner. The palace guide that took us thorough the actual palace grounds was brilliant and her explanation of the significances of the various parts of the palace provide an excellent perspective to what we were seeing. I can’t fault this tour and I give a very big thumbs up and thank you to our tour guide.
