Itinerary
Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology
Admission included45 min
Step into a world of ancient shipwrecks, sunken treasures, and maritime mysteries with a guided tour of the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology, housed in the stunning 15th-century Bodrum Castle. This unique museum is not just a display of artifacts—it’s a journey through the Aegean’s rich underwater history.
During your visit, you’ll explore well-preserved exhibits from shipwrecks dating back to the Bronze Age, including the famous Uluburun Shipwreck. See rare amphorae, ancient glassware, coins, weapons, and personal belongings of sailors lost at sea. Learn how underwater archaeologists uncover and preserve relics from beneath the waves.
Mausoleum of Halicarnassus
Admission included45 min
Uncover the remnants of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World with a guided visit to the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus in Bodrum. Once a monumental tomb built for Mausolus, a Persian satrap of Caria, this archaeological site offers a fascinating glimpse into the grandeur of classical antiquity.
Though much of the original structure was destroyed by earthquakes and later used to build Bodrum Castle, the site still features original foundations, columns, and sculptural fragments that hint at its former glory. Your expert guide will bring history to life, telling the story of Mausolus and his wife Artemisia II, who commissioned this architectural masterpiece in the 4th century BC.
You’ll learn how this grand tomb—rising over 45 meters with tiered platforms and marble reliefs—became the origin of the word “mausoleum” and influenced funerary architecture across civilizations.
Myndos Gate
Admission included45 min
The Myndos Gate, a significant part of the defensive walls of ancient Halicarnassus (modern-day Bodrum), was commissioned by King Mausolus. In 334 BC, it became one of the fiercest resistance points against Alexander the Great during his campaign to capture the city. Today, visitors can still see the remains of the imposing city walls, the protective moats, and ancient buried tombs. As one of the most remarkable relics of Bodrum’s rich past, the Myndos Gate is a must-visit for history lovers seeking to step back into the city’s legendary heritage.
Bodrum Ancient Theatre
Admission included45 min
Dating back to the 4th century BC, the Bodrum Ancient Theatre is one of the oldest and most remarkable landmarks in the city. Built during the reign of King Mausolus of Caria, it showcases the distinctive architectural style of the Hellenistic period. With a seating capacity of around 13,000, this impressive venue continues to host concerts and cultural events, keeping its legacy alive. From its terraces, visitors are treated to breathtaking views of Bodrum Castle and the sparkling waters of the Aegean Sea, creating an unforgettable setting steeped in history.
Bodrum Bazaar
Admission included60 min
Step into a local handicraft workshop and see how unique pieces are made.

Fantastic tailored history tour!
We had a great half day tour with Ufuk! He messaged to pick us up from the hotel and this set the tone for our tour. Nothing was too much trouble and he tailored it to our interests. He gave great information at each stop and the tour was engaging and fun. We asked if we could stop at the windmills and he was happy to do so. The driver was also great. Highly recommend this tour and this guide 😊

AMAZING TOUR GUIDE IN BODRUM
I cant begin to describe how amazing our Tour Guide (ASENA) was.
She contacted me a day before our appointment on WhatsApp to confirm our pick up time off the cruise ship. She was pleasant, knowledgeable and full of energy. She showed us everything to see in Bodrum. She even stayed with us beyond our scheduled time to show us where to eat some authentic Turkish Food.
JUST AN AWESOME TOUR GUIDE !!!!!

Best tour in Turkey
My wife and I finished our Turkey travels with this tour in Bodrum and it just absolutely blew us away.
We learned so much about the history of Bodrum and the region, hands down the best tour of our entire 2 week trip. The way the information is presented it all felt personalized rather than a guide going through the same script for the 100th time. You feel like you’re on a trip with a friend you’ve known for 15 years and they’re willingly sharing a passion of theirs with you.
I wish we could take Efi, our guide, on all future travels with us. I seriously cannot recommend this tour enough, it was the perfect end to our honeymoon and created a lasting memory we will always be grateful for.

Very poor . Price of $80...
Very poor . Price of $80 won’t justify the tour .
Also guide was too busy in talking in necessary things. & not focusing on her job
Operator response
"Hello Mr. Ravi, I respect your decision to leave a review for our company. However, I would like to clarify that the entry fees for the places you visited amounted to €65, a half-day private vehicle is €100, and a tour guide is €100—totaling €265. We provided you with a private vehicle and a dedicated guide, yet you only paid $160, and we never requested any additional payment. Seeing your comment claiming 'it is not worth $80' was truly disheartening for us."

Wonderful tour!
We had a wonderful private tour with Efuk (means horizon in Turkish) and we got to learn a lot about Bodrum’s history. He is very polite, knowledge and passionate. He accommodated my husband stopping at the pharmacy for cough medicine. Driver was nice and good at maneuvering the narrow streets. He made additional stops to show us beautiful mosaic at the hospital and the windmills. I would highly recommend.

Great tour
This experience was amazing. Efe, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the subjects and gave us so much interesting facts and history on every place we visited, he also took the time to try and tailor it to our tastes. Overall I would definitely recommend this and if you get Efe as your tour guide you’re in good hands.
