I would not use this driver

Driver spoke minimal English. We were ready to overlook that . We booked a trip to Hakone from Tokyo , which included Hakone Ropeway. After I stood in line and purchased the tickets he took us to another long line and told us , this line takes you to the ropeway and this will take more than an hour . Today is Sunday and drive back to Tokyo you will get caught in traffic, let me see if I can get the money back for the tickets, grabbed the tickets from my hand and got the money back. Took me few minutes to realize what happened , otherwise I would have told him we want to do the ropeway even if that means getting caught in traffic back to Tokyo . One of the reasons for us to go to Hakone was to do the ropeway which we were not able to because the driver did not want to get caught in traffic on our way back.

Brilliant day: Hakone

Doshi was fabulous. Very accepting of our plans, but with great ideas of his own. Perfect driver. Absolutely loved the day..perfect blue skies helped. Added Pola Art Museum to the day...don't miss it. Fuji-san was spectacular. Highly recommend this trip (especially when you saw the huge queues for the public transport!)
