An absolutely top-notch experience, an extraordinary day, the guide and driver were truly welcoming and kind. Everything was exceptional ;)
We really enjoyed this trip. Our driver Anass was really friendly and helpful with advice about local restaurants. He was also a very experienced driver which was very reassuring on tricky roads. Our guide Villem was also great with very good knowledge and excellent language skills. Lots of interesting stops, the hike was hard work but the waterfall was worth the climb. The only downside was the lunch, nice place and friendly staff but the food was not great and not worth the price. Overall would definitely recommend.

The driver and the guide were very friendly. The hike can be a bit physical on a very short section, so it may be a concern for elderly people. And it can also be complicated for people prone to vertigo. We then ate by the river at a very pleasant spot. We requested to change restaurants, as we did not like the first one, and it was not a problem. The only downside, but that’s part of the experience, was the stops to try to sell you rugs and argan oils… otherwise, nothing to complain about.

Very beautiful region, with lovely landscapes! Thank you to our driver Abdo, who was very good, very careful on the road, and attentive to our requests. Our guide for the waterfall, Mohamed, was very kind, but he did not suggest that we could go to the second waterfall. The meal was decent by the river.

Our driver Yassin was exceptional: punctual, professional, very careful on the road and always smiling. We felt safe and comfortable along the way. We booked this private guided tour (2 adults, $283) expecting a knowledgeable English-speaking guide to show us the Ourika Valley and Atlas Mountains. What we got was the opposite. Our driver Youness spoke very limited English and was unable to explain anything about the places we visited — no cultural context, no history, nothing. His driving was aggressive and made us feel genuinely unsafe throughout the day. Every single stop was turned into a sales opportunity, with vendors pressuring us to buy and local “guides” at each location asking for additional tips. The entire day felt like a commission-based sales tour rather than a cultural experience. To top it off, we reached out to the operator immediately after the tour to resolve this directly and gave them several days to respond. We received no reply whatsoever - not even an acknowledgement. We strongly advise anyone looking for a genuine guided experience to look elsewhere. There are many reputable operators in Marrakech who deliver what they promise.
The day before we had clear and pleasant contact about the location and the time we would be picked up. And at the appointed moment the van came with driver and guide. After a nice outward drive - which was a lot of fun in itself - we arrived at a vantage point. Unfortunately it was cold and wet at the time so we quickly went back on the bus. Then we stopped at a Berber village where my mother tripped and took her knees open. When we arrived at the Berber house she was well cared for by two men who cleaned her wound. We got some sweet tea and some nibbles again while a woman dressed us up with headscarves, dresses and for the men caps that have to do with their traditions. Then we got an instruction from the Argan oil, where the women suddenly started dancing and singing. Personally it became too much of a show as far as I was concerned. Finally with argan oil in the bag, which we didn't negotiate enough on, back to the bus. The next stop was climbing a piece of mountain, very touristy but breathtakingly beautiful! We had the most sweet and fun guide you could wish for. He managed to hold the group together like a border collie as he walked over the stones like a mountain goat. He was very caring for my mother who found it a bit spicy after her earlier fall. And with his help, she made it! They were beautiful waterfalls and the sun had come through well so it was even more enjoyable. Back at the restaurant we enjoyed lunch by the water. What a wonderful experience. I will recommend it to everyone to go out of town for a day and visit the mountains.
