This was the best ziplining excursion! I felt safe the entire time & it was so beautiful. The guides were nice, professional, & went above and beyond to make sure you had the best experience. Savannah was fantastic! She was personable, friendly, & we could tell she loved doing her job. The tour bus guide Chris was so knowledgeable about Alaska & made the ride up the mountain extremely enjoyable.

Itinerary
Grizzly Falls Ziplining Expedition in Skagway, Alaska Reserve Your Seats Fast, fun, and exhilarating, this approximately 4-hour adventure is sure to excite nature lovers and thrill seekers alike. Get a running start on solid ground and take flight into the treetops of the Alaskan rainforest. It all begins at your cruise dock where you meet your guide. From there, enjoy an entertaining and historic tour through downtown Skagway then drive along nine miles of stunning coastline. When you arrive at our base in Dyea, you will transfer into our customized Unimog—an all-wheel drive vehicle necessary for getting up our rugged mountain road. During your rugged ride up the mountain, look out at the impressive rainforest and glacially fed waterfalls. Get psyched—you’re about to fly over this wild landscape! At the top of the mountain, you will suit up in gear that meets the highest standards of safety while your highly trained guide tells you what to expect and how to safely navigate the course. You will then be led to the take- off zone, where you’ll clip in and fly away! You’ll soar through our exhilarating course of ziplines, the longest measuring 750ft—that’s longer than 2 football fields combined! But this is more than just any zip course, our lines will bring you directly above glacially-fed waterfalls, so close you can feel the mist as you zoom by! For the more cautious adventurers, rest assured that you can always control your own speed with a brake system. But we double dog dare you to let go and zoom up to 45 miles per hour! Of course, that’s a little too fast to take those perfect pictures of the Alaskan wilderness. That’s why we decided that a hardcore Unimog and breathtaking zip course over waterfalls just isn’t quite enough. So, we added four state-of-the-art suspension bridges. From these bridges, you’ll be able to capture stunning photos of you and your loved ones in the heart of Alaska’s wild beauty. After completing the course, pat yourself on the back, say goodbye to your guides, and enjoy your last ride in the Unimog to your bus at the bottom of the mountain. Take advantage of the scenic drive back to Skagway to look over your pictures and joke about who was the bravest zipliner. This is bound to be an “E.X.C.U.R.S.I.O.N of a lifetime”, one you will surely remember for years to come!

Rachel and Mark were fabulous Zipline guides! A lot of us didn't have too much experience ziplining and were tentative at first. They made us feel comfortable and safe. The course is well designed too, with a couple shorter rides before the longest rides. I was thrilled to go upside down (on purpose) - when I saw the pictures when booking, it didn't look possible. I had even booked the train ride but cancelled it to do this, and I'm glad I did. There were beautiful waterfalls everywhere, incredibly beautiful landscape. This is one of the best ways to enjoy it - hiking would be too slow and limited; train and helicopter rides are too detached from the landscape. Ziplining simultaneously immerses you in the landscape and yet lets you soar above it. Also, I asked myself what memory would I rather have - I rode a train or I ziplined? A couple of us were solo travelers but we made friends on the course, took pictures and videos for each other so we have evidence of our adventure. Good luck with yours!
My daughter, Lori, and I had an amazing Zipline experience with Grizzly Falls Tour. The entire staff was friendly and eager to ensure that we had a great time during our visit. Upon our arrival, Jaz and Sam Tank (our guides), made sure our group had the proper safety gear and prepared us for the adventure ahead. Sorry about grabbing one of your braids, Sam, instead of the white rope!! lol At the age of 74, I knew it would be a challenge, and both of the guides (along with our wonderful group) made me feel comfortable and confident with tackling the challenges. I loved that we didn't have to physically climb the mountain to get to the ziplines. Best of all, our guides made the experience fun and enjoyable. I highly recommend this excursion to anyone who is visiting the Skagway area!
Great time ziplining through the woods and over waterfalls with the family. The staff made every effort to make it enjoyable for our family.
We started the tour with a 15 minute ride in a off-road vehicle that took us up a mountain through the Alaska wilderness. Our guides were Alex and Georgia who were very pleasant. The ziplines were good but not really that high and short compared to other ziplines that we have done. During the zipline course we did get to cross 3 small suspension bridges.
Such fun. The group leaders made everything seamless. Not scary at all as it was the first time ziplining for me and my son
Absolutely amazing experience. Guides Avery and Lolo were so friendly, knowledge and energetic. They showed us how to do some amazing things on the ziplines. The property is well taken care of amd the scenery is spectacular. This is a zipline adventure I would definitely do again. If you like zipping and are in Skagway treat yourself.
Great fun, a very enthusiastic and friendly bunch but always felt safe. I noticed they checked everything every single time. A great balance of letting you have a bit of fun whilst being safe. Fun trip on the unimog and a great setting too. Lovely waterfall and peaceful forest too (peaceful apart from us!) Thanks, Sam and Lydia (UK)
My Family and I got to whiz through the various Western Hemlock's and Sitka Spruce trees of Tongass National Rainforest. I especially enjoyed the lines that crossed over the rushing waterfalls. My group's guides Bea, and Corbin, were excellent hosts and balanced safety, fun, and education perfectly throughout our time exploring the treetops. Don't be afraid to try out the techniques they suggest, as you'll wish you did as soon as you take off the harness and helmet. The ride in the 1300 L UNIMOG was incredible! The hilly drive through the forest was a great start and finish to the entire excursion. Thanks to everyone at Grizzly Falls who helped made this excursion what it was. The shuttle from the port was very informative and a good introduction to the city of Skagway. Hope I can come back and check out the Mushers Camp next time!
This is by far the best experience you can have. The crew from pick up to the whole experience that pictures dont do justice. Huge props to this outfit.
