Marvel at the last existing wonder of the world - a fabulous experience! You will find a total of three pyramids here: the Chephren, Cheops and Mykerinos pyramids. You can discover the area on foot, on horseback or by camel. Duration between 2 and 3 hours.
After visiting the pyramids of Giza, you will go to the Great Sphinx, by far the largest and most preserved sphinx. It consists of a human head on a lion's body. The Sphinx was carved from the remainder of a limestone mound that served as a quarry for the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Duration approx. 20-30 minutes.
Since all buses have to wait for the convoy leaving Cairo for Sharm at the end of the day, you will make one or two of the following stops: characteristic visits to the Papyrus Museum and the Essential Oil Factory. These two attractions will familiarize you with the ancient Egyptian techniques of making papyrus and essences. These two interesting visits will increase your knowledge of daily life in ancient Egypt and will also help the Egyptian farmers who work in these sectors and preserve these very old handicrafts from ancient Egypt. We booked this trip as a family of 4 with children aged 10 and 8. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend it. We had Ahmed Amer as a guide, he was very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable although we did have trouble understanding him at times however it did not really affect our experience and he was happy to repeat or attempt to slow down his speech. I also appreciated his honesty when it came to people to avoid and scams to be wary of, which we did come across many times but has the advanced warning. The trip is a very long day, especially with young children. The bus journey feels like it never ends but it’s so worth it once you see the pyramids, the Nile and the museum. Lunch was average but appreciated. The only downside was the stop at the perfume shop which felt like quite a pressurised environment, we had to say no thank you many times and it could be quite intimidating for some but also it’s their livelihood so I do understand. I think if you’re in Sharm El Sheikh or another resort as we were, then this is a must to really experience Egypt.
Ahmed Amer was engaging and took care of the entire group.

Ahmed amer was our guide and he was very accommodating we all had a lovely day in cairo!
Guide Adel was fantastic, very knowledgeable, in love with history, knew Italian very well, and above all, was nice. The round-trip bus ride… traumatic, absolutely not recommended to make the trip with children.
We had Ahmed Amer and he was great really informative and delivered with a great sense of humour, great guy
Everything perfect, the best experience!
Our guide Magdy was perfect, very informative and well knowing. Same with his driver, was smooth from start to finish. However the organisers could use some work, the buss trip took an unnecessary amount of time to get started (2 hours). Just sitting at a gas station waiting. And the information regarding the pick-up was unclear.
The guide Jimmy really helped us a lot and is so passionate about Egypt and the culture.
It was another eye opening tour with seeing the Grand Egyptian Museum that took 20 odd years to prepare and complete. Amazing. Especially seeing the Tutankhamum’s coffins and aorher artifacts. Time is not enough for seeing everything. Then the Saladin Citadel, and with visit to both Mosque of Muhammad Ali and Sultan Al Nasir Muhammad Mosque. All thanks to the tour guide - Ms Bassma, that shown me around and feeding me with all the histories of ancient Egypt.
