It was founded in 1953 by the mayor of Granby at the time, Pierre-Horace Boivin. There are currently more than 1,800 different animals grouped into more than 200 species. The zoo has 516,000 visitors per year and contains animals from Africa, Asia, and South America. Adjacent to the zoo is the Amazoo water park. The zoo also has an amusement park called "Parc Johnny Test Collection" which is named after the Johnny Test animated television series.

This is not a review of the Grandby Zoo, but of the tour operator. They canceled the tour the day of AFTER the scheduled start time. They said that they canceled the tour but that was not the case (as confirmed by Viatour) and that it was because of weather (the weather is beautiful).
I liked the farm and the zoo very much but There are additional 80$ fees to be payed ( 71$ for zoo and 9$ for gratuities , ironically not optional, even for children you need to pay the 9$ per each ) . I expected the zoo fees but this mandatory tip is a bit disappointing to be honest, especially since its 9$ per person paid at the beginning of the trip… i wish this was clearer and well written in the description of this trip before booking. Especially for large families paying 9$ for each person including kids can be too much. Also if you will do the fruit picking expect to pay more although not mandatory , you can just scroll around in the beautiful farm.

The zoo is fully packed! It is best to start the visit at the water park then see the animals! We bought our food, even the line for ice cream took 20min! Thanks to our guide Lin with organized plan we love the day here!
Lin is an amazing guide, friendly and humorist! Answered all the questions and well organized trip. Blueberry is 18 per basket per person so not too bad, It's 2L. and we had the entire afternoon at the zoo, tho today is super packed! I'd recommend to come in weekdays maye be less crowded.
we really enjoyed the blueberry picking at the farm and ate too much blueberries there and didn’t even feel the need for lunch aha. The famous granby zoo is super nice place for families. Lots of animals, slides, tables and attractions. Our guide Lin also did great job keeping everyone comfortable and well organized day!
The tour was not only fun but also very relaxing I did a few tours before and this one was truly the most relaxing and well deserved one than you guys
Today’s trip to Granby Zoo was really fun, the tour guide was very funny and did a good job. Although we got in the zoo a bit late, the guide did his best very nice person would recommend for sure
