Visiting Malta and want to see a lot in a short space of time? Want to see the Blue Lagoon but do not wish to spend all day on Comino? Or just prefer to experience a few sights? During your 80 minutes in Comino use the boat as a base, utilising it's fantastic facilities, including 26 underwater windows, a waterslide from the top deck, 2 smaller slides, jumping platforms, sundeck with cushioned sun loungers, Ladies and Gents facilities, disabled toilet with changing area & shower, air-conditioned deck and a small gated play areas for under 3's. To reach the departure location from Valletta, take a bus heading towards St Pauls Bay and get off at the Moll bus stop.
The tour begins from the tourist town of Bugibba, where the modern and stable catamaran Sea Adventure departs on an unforgettable two island cruise. From the open sea, you will experience Malta from a truly unique and beautiful vantage point. We cruise close to the coast, witnessing Malta’s magnificent naturally formed coastline, including its enormous cliffs, rocky nooks and crannies. You will pass the tiny Island of St. Paul’s, viewing the statue of the apostle Saint Paul, rising high into the sky. You will visit magnificent sea caves, allowing you the opportunity to take amazing photographs.

Arriving at the famous Blue Lagoon, we moor for another hour in a prime area; you will have the best view from our docking position. Use the boat as a base, utilising all its fantastic facilities.
We spend approximately 10 minutes in Crystal Lagoon; we stop only for photo opportunities and to visit the sea caves.
The land transport from the harbour to the capital city of Gozo is included in the price. This small city has a wealth of charm and history to explore, and the first known settlers date back to the Neolithic times. The crown jewel of Victoria is the Citadel a fortified town which rises high above the narrow winding streets of the city below. St. Georges Basilica is found down in the town square. The basilica is entirely coated with marble, while the canopy over the high altar is gilded in bronze and gold. All paintings in the dome and ceiling are by Giovanni Battista Conti of Rome. One of the fascinating parts of the basilica is the statue of St. George, sculpted in wood by Pawlu Azzopardi in 1838.
With the day drawing to a close, we start our cruise back to Bugibba. En-route, we enter the Santa Maria pirate caves and view the “Elephants Head”, a fantastic rock formation.

Once we were on the boat it was a great experience. The meet and greet experience was a bit chaotic, best to get your landing information for Comino ready beforehand. The QR code is required for them to see. Gozo was beautiful, be prepared to walk up some very steep hills, but it'll be worth it. The crew were fantastic, the swimming was incredible. We didn't do the landing on Comino, it was too steep and busy for us to enjoy. Overall an amazing day.
Very crowded boat, not very clear communication from staff, staff wasn’t friendly at all. Gozo was nice but crammed bus ride to your choice of beach or downtown. We picked the beach which was ok but very rocky -bring water shoes. Food was good at the restaurant on the beach. Loved the swim stop at Comino but very hard to walk up to the food stands/shops but fun to swim off the boat.
We booked direct with sea adventure via their website. We chose the pink tour which included Gozo, Camino, blue lagoon and included the bus which I presumed was the pick up and drop off from our hotel area but it was the bus on Gozo so we had to make our own way to Bugibba jetty so on top of the €90 for the trip we had a €70 return taxi to factor in. The actual ‘boat’ trip time is approx 4hrs which is the journey to Gozo, stop off at the blue lagoon, some stops looking at caves (nothing special) and back to the jetty. We chose the Gozo town option which in the summer heat of 40 degrees is not the wisest move I’ve made. The other option is the beach. Bus takes you there and back but be prompt on the time they tell you to be back as there’s no head count. While waiting for the boat to return you are left waiting by the quay with no shade so be prepared. There’s no organization when the boat turns up and it’s a bit of a free for all with people jockeying to be back on for best seats. The boat takes you to a lagoon for swimming opportunity. The area is packed with boats and tourists. I’d have rated the trip higher but felt the boat was a taxi service rather than an excursion and do not feel like the price reflected the experience. You are not allowed your own food and drink onboard but this is not strictly enforced so id take your own water at least. Plenty of places to eat in Gozo.

At around £115 for the three of us with everything included, it felt like great value for a full day where you don't have to stress about planning the itinerary yourself! Arrival & Check-in: We managed to bag a free parking space along the road right next to the jetty, though spaces were very limited—there are other paid parking options nearby if you aren't as lucky. Before checking in with the boat crew, we picked up our Comino wristbands from the Team Blue Lagoon outlet. At check-in, you also get to choose how you want to spend your 3 hours on Gozo later in the day (options included heading to the capital Victoria, going to the beach, or taking a sightseeing tour). The Boat & Journey: The boat itself is a impressive three-story catamaran. The bottom floor features underwater viewing windows—just note you can only really see anything when the boat is stopped at Comino, as the water is too rough while moving. We were lucky enough to grab seats right at the front of the boat on the middle deck outdoors, which was perfect for laying back, relaxing, and taking in the views as we set sail. Stop 1 & 2: Comino & The Blue Lagoon: After a quick stop at a pretty cove near Comino, we sailed to the main event: the Blue Lagoon. The water here is unbelievably crystal clear and stunning! We had a 60-minute stop here. You can either stay on the boat and jump into the sea using the slides or stairs off the back, or get off to explore Comino. On land, there’s a small beach and heaps of street food stands (you have to try the piña coladas served in a fresh pineapple!), plus pizzas and quick bites. The boat also sells a small selection of beers, soft drinks, and ice creams. ⚠️ Top Tip: Be back on time! The boat departed promptly at 2:15 PM and there didn't seem to be a strict headcount before leaving, so don't risk getting left behind! Gozo & Important Advice: After Comino, we sailed on to Gozo. ⚠️ Important Note on Luggage: You MUST take all your bags and belongings off the boat with you on Gozo, as a different group uses the boat to sail back to Malta while you are exploring. Pack light, as carrying heavy bags in the heat is no fun! We chose the 15–20 minute coach ride (included in the price) to Victoria, Gozo's capital. Unfortunately, we were in the middle of a massive heatwave—it felt like 42°C! Because of the extreme heat, our 5-year-old was struggling a bit, so we couldn't make the absolute most of Gozo, but the town itself was great to see. Overall Verdict: Despite the extreme heat on Gozo, it was a really good day out. Our son absolutely loved it, and it was a wonderful blend of relaxing on the water and exploring new places without any of the hassle of organizing travel. Highly recommended!
Great day out. Choice of the beach or Victoria when you reach Gozo. Highly recommend Victoria. The views are amazing from the citadel. Boat then takes you to the stunning Blue Lagoon where you have a couple of hours to swim . Worth every penny!

Asked Tripadvisor for a tour from or from near Valletta and booked it. Turned out to be from the St Paul at the opposite end of Malta. The boat was OK, but very crowded. C'est la vie. The blue lagoon was magnificent and definitely worth seeing. The beach at Gozo at which we spent 3 hours was not. Its not a great beach at all, stony, water not so clear and very crowded. We are from Australia, and this was not a beach we would bother with, but even neglecting our bias, 3 hours? Way too long. We ended up taking the fast ferry back to Sliema. Faster, more convenient and much more comfortable.
It’s a good value trip but a bit chaotic from “checking in” to board the boat. One person managing a very long line of people waiting in the heat at midday isn’t great. They have an audio which provides highlights of the main sights. The stop at Blue Lagoon is good and the bus transfers to either the beach or the Citadel was the most organised although the return was delayed due to a late returning bus. I would recommend but be prepared for chaos!
trip was too long and too noisy and smelly. Lunch stop was very basic and not enjoyable 1 large meatball some slightly old roast potatoes, dreadful white wine. glad I ticked my bucket list will not do it again.
This was great but we didn't get to jump in the lagoon. It felt rushed . If jumping in the lagoon was my to do I would have been devastated. Other than that all was good. Camino was the best .
