On the way back to Akureyri we drive along the coast of Eyjafjordur, one of the longest fjords in Iceland where you can see over the fjord to Akureyri and take a great photo. From there, we stop at the Forest Lagoon, a geothermal spa resort located across from Akureyri. It includes infinity pools with swim-up bars, a sauna and a cold tub and offers great views across the Eyjafjordur fjord.

Goðafoss Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. Nicknamed the Waterfall of the Gods due to its history. In the year 1000, Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði made Christianity the official religion of Iceland and proceeded with throwing his statues of gods into the waterfall.
The water falls from a height of 12 meters over a width of 30 meters.

Tangabryggja Port: Just outside the cruise ship area, you will see several small wooden houses. Star Travel is located at house number 3, and we will meet you there.
Oddeyrarbryggja Port: Right outside the ship, you will find an Icewear shop. Next to it is the designated agent area where all tour agents wait for their customers. We will be there with a Star Travel sign. Look for one of our colleagues wearing a bright yellow jacket.

Tour guide was great. Lots of information about the area. Godafoss Waterfall was beautiful. Forest lagoon was ok. Wished there was more to do then just float in hot water for an hour.

Fantastic scenery and great experience
Reynir was a great guide. He stopped off at the viewpoint on the fjord to enable us to snap some pictures and enroute to the Godafoss waterfall. Spent an hour taking in the watery sights and then to the Forest Lagoon for prepaid 2 hours of calm and relaxation. We learnt a lot Reynir thank you!

A breath-taking must-visit trip to Godafoss and the Forest Lagoon courtesy of Reynir and Stat Travel
We had the most amazing time visiting the Godafoss waterfall and being able to experience the Forest Lagoon & Spa. We were blessed to have Reynir (tour guide) take us to and from both Godafoss and the Forest Lagoon as he was very informative, friendly and patient which we both appreciated. Prior to going, he made contact via email to keep us in the loop which was great and gave us plenty of time to explore whilst letting us know plenty of information about the history and geography of the area. Should we ever return, we’d very much use Star Travel for our excursions!

Amazing
Incredible experience! We were the only people booked on, so it was like having a private tour! Our guide took us to all the best viewing spots for photos, gave us time to see things that we wanted to see and finishing the day in the Lagoon was perfect! Would recommend!

What a day!
Our guide Krista was incredible! Smart, funny and informative. The waterfall was amazing and the forest lagoon was most relaxing.
I would recommend the forest lagoon over the blue lagoon near Reykjavik for sure. Much less crowded much less expensive.
