My initial request for...

My initial request for this tour was for 3pm however the confirmation i received was for 12 noon. I had to cancel another tour because of this time change. I received several messages a few days before the tour telling me that the 3pm time I requested was confirmed. Then I got another message saying to ignore that message and then another one saying that my reservation was for noon. The instruction for pickup was that the bus would be "adjacent to the Amore restaurant". It turned out that the pickup was actually at the opposite end of the block nowhere near the restaurant. The driver did not have me listed for noon but for 3pm. So the staff kindly set up up a seat for me at the only available table. Unfortunately it had an obstruction under the table so I couldn't sit normally. There were plenty of sweets with a few savory sandwiches. Second helpings were available also.

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the confusion surrounding your booking time and pickup location, and we understand how frustrating this must have been, particularly after receiving conflicting messages. We’re pleased that our team was able to accommodate you on the day and arrange a seat despite the booking information showing a different time. We’re also sorry that the table provided was not as comfortable as it should have been. We appreciate your comments regarding the pickup instructions and will review how the location is communicated to guests to help avoid any confusion in the future. We’re glad you were able to enjoy the food and that additional servings were available. Thank you again for your feedback. We value your comments and will use them to help improve the experience for our guests.

30th birthday bash

Absolutely fabulous from start to finish. Jim the driver kept us all safe and even assisted us up to sit behind the wheel. Helen our host made the day, she was just fantastic. Was so much more than we expected, loved the banter and the sing a long. Only thing I would add is the seats are not built for 2 larger ladies to sit side by side. Will definitely book again ❤️

Nice drive around town

American here. It was a cute experience, but I wouldn’t really call it a tour. The guide only named a few spots (like 3-4) and it was basic information you’d probably see on Google maps. A lot of mayo in the sandwiches, but that seems to be a UK thing in general. Cute atmosphere and very good gin tea. If you want just a nice bus ride around town I recommend, but yes if you’re looking for an educational tour experience this is not that, which was disappointing for us and left us feeling like we didn’t really get a tour experience. It’s a nice drive with lunch, not a tour.

Operator response

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the atmosphere and the gin tea—it’s one of our favourites too! We’re sorry to hear the experience didn’t meet your expectations in terms of a guided tour. We do try to make it clear on the booking platform that this is a themed dining experience aboard a moving bus, rather than a traditional educational tour. While our hosts point out a few landmarks along the way, the focus is more on enjoying the ride, the food, and the ambiance. Your comments about the sandwiches and the level of commentary are appreciated—we’re always looking for ways to improve and better communicate what guests can expect. We hope the charm of the experience still brought some joy to your visit, and we’d love to welcome you back if you're ever in the mood for a relaxing ride with a unique twist
