Great activity - going solo has some drawbacks
If you want tea history and good tea experierence food, this is the place. A group table doesn't face the castle so while you can see it thru the windows, it's 2 people tables by the windows for the full view. Tea trays are set up for 2 people with a sweet or savory choice and couples usually get one of each. If u are solo sit at the end of the table or you share a tea stand of food with another couple and it's awkward. I have had high tea with my sisters and it was much more fun. I recommend for couples or group of people but I didn't get the same experience solo, just my opinion, and I really wanted to eat and just stare at the castle which didn't happen. I did buy the excellent specialized tea blend from their shop and wanted to take out each one of their desserts but didn't..lol.

Delightful tea experience
The tea was delightful. We met another couple visiting from the U.S. and enjoyed talking with them. Jesus gave us a lot of information about tea and the beginnings of the tea influx into Scotland and Great Britain.

Lovely experience :)
Such a lovely experience in Edinburgh! Enjoying afternoon tea with views of the castle made it feel truly special. The setting was beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxing, and every detail was thoughtfully done.
The selection of teas, pastries, sandwiches, and desserts was delicious, and it was the perfect way to slow down and enjoy the city. The castle views made the experience even more memorable. A wonderful choice for anyone looking for a classic Edinburgh moment with a beautiful backdrop.
