If you choose Semi-Private tour, it will depart straight from the pier for a seamless start to your adventure. If you select Group Tour, simply take the free shuttle bus from the pier to the Largo della Pace terminal, where we will meet you for pickup. Please note that the pickup time may be adjusted and will be communicated to you closer to the tour date. You will also receive clear and detailed pickup instructions to ensure a hassle-free and enjoyable experience. Our family had one day to see Rome from the cruise, so having the transportation organized from the port made a big difference. The pickup was straightforward, and the drive into Rome was comfortable. We appreciated having enough leisure time to explore at our own pace instead of feeling rushed from one stop to another. Our local English-speaking guide was friendly and easy to talk to. They gave us useful background about the places we visited without overwhelming us with too much information. With children in the group, that balance was especially helpful. The return to Civitavecchia was also handled with the cruise schedule in mind, which gave us peace of mind. Overall, it was a well-organized way for our family to experience Rome during a cruise stop.

We wanted to make our Rome stop special but didn't want to spend the whole day worrying about transportation. This excursion gave us a nice balance. We were picked up at the cruise terminal and had comfortable transportation into Rome. The guide was warm and knowledgeable, and we enjoyed hearing the stories behind the city's famous sights. At the same time, having leisure time meant we could slow down and enjoy the experience as a couple. We also felt reassured by the planned return to the port. The schedule gave us confidence that we weren't simply being left to arrange our own way back. It was a long day, but it never felt unnecessarily complicated.
Our guide Gabriella was wonderful he explained everything very well and took us to great spots and our bus driver was very nice too.
We’ve recently returned from a family holiday touring Italy which ranks as one of the best holidays we’re had to date. The advice, support and organization provided by Audley meant that we were incredibly well looked after, the local guides and drivers were fantastic plus the excursions and hotels all exceeded expectation.
Our trip was so well organized and comfortable, with caring people picking us up at airports and hotels and taking us to destinations along the way. Took a lot of stress out of the travel. Hotels were all comfortable and centrally located, so we found our way around easily. Really well organized trip!
Everything about the day felt simple and well planned. Meeting at the cruise terminal was straightforward, and the guide made sure everyone understood the schedule before leaving. I appreciated the comfortable transportation because it saved a lot of energy compared with figuring out local transport. Very good tour from the pickup at the ship which worked well to the tour, Ricardo was an excellent tour guide very informative and funny. He recommended a great restaurant for lunch, would recommend this tour for a quick visit
We truly enjoyed the experience. Ricardo and his driver were so accommodating, knowledgeable and perfectly synced throughout tour. Having the air conditioned van to take us from spot to spot was absolutely a must in the heat. Not going inside of each location was perfect for us. Be ready for the heat. Lots of water, hat, small hand fan a must.
