Description
Discover a hidden Algarve aboard a 4wd Jeep "off the beaten tracks" in the Algarve countryside. This tour highlights the most beautiful landscapes, swim in a local river admire the regional architecture and gastronomical tastes of Algarve. One of the can't-miss experiences of this tour is the gastronomical tasting of honey, and licours as well as the visit of an old firewater distillery and tasting of the famous Medronho drink.

Itinerary
Pass by the Village of Paderne and the castle of Paderne.
Stop at a café to go to the toilet and have a drink (optional).
Visit a local farm to try the homemade honey, carob liquor and the portuguese firewater (Medronho)
Drive trough the countryside to show you the fauna and flora of the region.
Stop at a typical restaurant to lunch
Go to one of the highest point in the area to watch the countryside and the coastline.
Stop to swim in a local river.
Stop in a place where we have the cork trees for a bit of explanation about the cork process.
Visit the the typical village of Alte

An Unforgetable Adventurous Experience as a Family. This all happened because of MARCO our tour guide/driver. You treated as well, and keep us safe on our crazy rides up and down the hills with loud music on, the screaming, the laughing, the fun we had together. Regards to all your animal friends along the way, Baltazar the donkey and hotdog the dog. Take care!
Fred was an amazing tour guide very knowledgeable information on Portuguese history was fantastic. We learned about local farming and products grown in the Algarve. We visited some amazing locations. Really enjoyed this trip Fred was the star of the show.

A fantastic experience, we all enjoyed it, although the children had a great time.
It is an interesting excursion, although I base my assessment on how it went for us, with the stifling heat I would not recommend it, we went with our 13 and 9-year-old grandchildren, they enjoyed it, as children do, and especially if you have any health problems it is not recommended, (although they do warn about this), the guide was very good, pleasant, the guide is very important we spent a day learning many stories and things you don't know about the surroundings of the area, a 10 for Tomás, there were four of us Spaniards and three English people. Tomás did a good job in both languages.
John was fantastic! He made the experience. Full of local knowledge and funny! Lovely experiences throughout the day exploring the waterfall, river and samples of the local produce at their local farm. The lunch included was massive so I would advise don’t have a big breakfast! Would highly recommend this tour!!
