Description
After a short twenty-minute ferry crossing you will reach Mgarr Harbour, which immediately sets the pace to Gozo’s unique atmosphere. Your guide will lead you around the Megalithic Temples of Ggantija, the oldest free-standing monuments in the world, pre-dating the Pyramids of Egypt. This will be followed by visits to the medieval citadel in Victoria, the fjord-like bay at Xlendi and Dwejra. Gozo is well known for its crafts, particularly handmade lace and knitted garments. Visitors cannot fail to be impressed by the island’s lush countryside, its serene atmosphere and how different it is from the larger island of Malta.

Not impressed
Our tour ended up being a combined English & Spanish tour with 40 people. Our guide said was a last minute decision by the company. We could hardly hear our guide when walking as the group was so large and she was not very loud, although she tried to be. Ear pieces would have helped here! Also, it seemed she had a set place to stop and it didn’t matter what was happening (bells ringing, lots of traffic both on foot and cars) which again, made it hard to stay close enough to hear. Most times if we just moved a short distance, we would be off the street and in an area that was less noisy.
The restaurant where we went for lunch was meh… it was like the tour company took the lowest bid. The food was ok, but it was nothing special. Only wine was included, so if you were not a wine drinker you had to purchase water or a soft drink. All condiments were removed from the tables so if you wanted salt, pepper or ketchup for the fries, you had to ask. They really were quite rude when we first arrived, we were going to sit at one table which we were directed to, then told to move to another (which we were also directed to) which we did, then they started yelling and separated us to another table.
All in all we were not impressed.

Full Day in Gozo
The tour was well organized and kept to a schedule. I enjoyed seeing the Neolithic ruins of Ggantija and the citadel in particular. Lunch was satisfying with a few choices. Rita provided a lot of information and looked out for the needs of the group.

Gozo in a day.
Interesting trip, but it’s a very long day. We saw a lot of Gozo and it’s history. Worth dong, I think.

Gorgeous surprise
I took the red panoramic bus and toured the islet for all its extension and attractions. Peccat0 for archaeological sites closed for holidays. The journey Valletta - gozo is very fast and cheap. I ate well in the capital Victoria.

Fantastic ancient history from a formidably long day.
What was advertised as an 8 hour trip took nearly 12 hours.
Thirty people was too big a group and guide’s English too fast and difficult to understand. A group of about 10 would have been preferable.
We had to wait in a queue for about an hour to catch the 20 minute ferry ride to Gozo from Cirkewwa.
Bus to north end of Malta took longer than expected and the fast ferry from Valletta to Gozo would have been a much better option.
In spite of all this we managed to enjoy the history, most sites visited and good companionship.

Thank you for your feedback! We're happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour. Occasionally, especially during the current peak season, the ferry may be unable to board all passengers due to capacity or operational issues. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control. Gozo history
The tour itinerary was good, nice places to visit. However, I had a hard time following the tour guide. It was not clear what we were visiting, what the story around it was. Also, it was hard to hear him unless I was standing beside him.

I was expecting to be...
I was expecting to be picked up at our hotel, but this was changed at a day’s notice so we had quite a walk. I also thought we would be in a small group. We were on a full size coach which was full. When at the archaeological museum it was chaos. Our guide tried to shepherd us around the exhibits among other parties and individuals. We couldn’t see what she was talking about or hear her. There was no time to look around the exhibition ourselves.

Wonderful overview of Gozo
Our tour guide was excellent. She was informative and knowledgeable about Gozo and all of Malta. Really enjoyed her explanations of Ġgantija.

Overall Good Experience on this Tour
Nice trip- well organised overall. Collected on time from Hotel. Bus on Gozo was older than bus up to ferry port. Ferry was busy but tour guide kept everything in order. Lunch basic but fine. Would have liked more time in Gigantia
