Ahmeed and Emilio great trip with the guys
Ahmed and Emilio were great!!
We joined this tour in Malta and, overall, it was a mixed experience. The boat trip started well. At first, we were placed on a smaller boat with fewer people, which was actually quite comfortable. However, later we were moved to a much bigger boat, and it was extremely crowded. We were taken to the Blue Lagoon area, but unfortunately the boat stopped quite far from the actual beach, so we were only allowed to stay in the water near the boat. The tour description said we would have around two hours for swimming, but we were given only about 50 minutes, which was disappointing. After that, we went for the quad tour, which was definitely the highlight of the day. The guide was great and the experience itself was enjoyable. However, it is important to know that the quad tour was almost entirely on asphalt roads, not off-road or dirt tracks as we expected. The dinner was probably the weakest part of the tour. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing, and there was hardly anything that we really enjoyed. The final stop was for sunset, and that part was beautiful. The scenery was great and it was definitely a nice place for taking photos. Overall, there were some very good moments, especially the quad tour and the sunset, but the overcrowded boat, shorter-than-promised swimming time, disappointing dinner, and mostly-asphalt quad route made the experience less enjoyable than we expected.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the quad tour, appreciated the guide, and found the sunset stop beautiful. Regarding the boat, we would like to clarify that the vessel was operating below its certified passenger capacity, so although it may have felt crowded, there were fewer guests onboard than the boat is officially permitted to carry. The Comino sunset experience also begins with a two-hour cruise around Comino, which includes a swimming stop at the Blue Lagoon. The boat was moored approximately 50 metres from the shore, but it was still within the Blue Lagoon itself, allowing guests to swim in the lagoon. We are sorry if the swimming arrangements did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding the time you were able to spend in the water. We always aim to follow the advertised itinerary while also taking local conditions and operational requirements into consideration. Regarding the dinner, we understand that traditional Maltese cuisine may not be to everyone’s taste. The meal is intentionally designed to give guests the opportunity to experience local food and eat as a local would. The restaurant table also provides a full explanation, in multiple languages, of the dishes being served. Just as visitors to Malta are encouraged to try traditional favourites such as pastizzi, we believe that experiencing local cuisine is an important part of experiencing the island itself. We appreciate your comments about the quad tour and will also take your expectations regarding the route into consideration. Most importantly, we are glad that there were parts of the day that you genuinely enjoyed, particularly the quad experience and the beautiful sunset. Thank you again for your feedback, as it helps us explain the experience more clearly to future guests and continue improving our service
An amazing experience with amazing tour guides would highly reccommend
We booked this Gozo ATV tour hoping for an adventurous, guided look at the island. Instead, it felt like conveyor belt tourism from start to finish. From the time we left our apartment to actually starting, it was over 2 hours, with no water offered - only the option to buy it. The guides were curt, disengaged, and offered next to no local insight. It often felt like we were expected to just know how everything worked. Riding the ATVs through that terrain and heat is challenging. Without proper framing or encouragement, it became punishing rather than fun. The itinerary felt rushed by design, with little time to slow down, take things in, or understand what we were seeing. And the included lunch was shockingly bad. Dry pasta, chemical-tasting ice cream, nothing that connected us to the place or made it feel special. The one bright spot was the boat trip back. The captain was friendly, relaxed, showed us the caves, let us swim. That piece was brilliant. But overall, this tour was rushed, impersonal, and poorly supported. We’d skip it unless you’re keen to just check boxes - not actually enjoy the day.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the day did not meet your expectations, although we would like to clarify a few points. Your accommodation was in the south of Malta, and crossing the island to the departure point takes around 90 minutes. The boat crossing to Gozo takes a further 30 minutes, which accounts for the approximately two hours you mention. Unfortunately, we have no control or influence over the location guests choose to stay. What we can control is our service, and we did pick you up and return you on time as scheduled. Regarding lunch, what you describe as “dry pasta” is actually traditional baked pasta. There is an explanation on the table explaining that the first layer is intentionally crispy and hard, as part of the traditional preparation. We fully appreciate that local dishes will not be to everyone’s taste, but we do believe that guests should have the opportunity to experience and taste local food rather than serving only universally familiar dishes. As for the quad bikes, this is a self-drive tour. Our leader provided the necessary safety and operational briefing before the activity, after which guests are responsible for operating their own vehicles. We appreciate that riding in Gozo’s terrain and summer heat can be physically demanding, but unfortunately the weather is something we cannot control. We are also surprised by the comments regarding the guides. The leaders on your tour consistently receive 5-star reviews, including from other participants who were on the same group as you. While we accept that individual experiences can differ, we do not believe that the description of the guides as disengaged fairly reflects the feedback we regularly receive about them. We’re pleased that the boat trip was a highlight and that you enjoyed the captain’s relaxed approach, the caves and the opportunity to swim. We’re sorry the rest of the experience did not leave you with the same impression, but we hope this provides some useful context regarding the elements of the tour that were within—and outside—our control
