From Split: Plitvice Lakes - Private tour

Such a beautiful place, Richard was a wonderful tour guide and Marco made sure the drive was smooth!

Beautiful scenery! I chose the self-guided tour but our tour bus guide Richard did a great job of orienting our group on the way of Croatia's history. His instructions were clear about the trail and helpful in answering questions.

Our visit to Plitvice far exceeded our expectations. It was so worth the drive to visit this beautiful park. Our guide Richard and our driver Frank were superb. They were friendly, accommodating and knowledgable. They made our visit extra special. The lakes are so blue and crystal clear; the waterfalls are magnificent and the trees and vegetation around are beautiful. It is a magic place. We can’t wait to return! A big shout out to Richard and Frank. Thanks again for making our experience memorable!!!

Antonia was so very sweet and generally cared to make sure every single person on the tour bus had a great experience. She was very knowledgeable and made sure we truly understood how special this park is to Croatia. She was very pleasant and ensured everyone was taken care of and cared for. She personally spoke to every single person and made sure all tourists felt extremely welcome .

The trip in the air-conditioned bus with one stopover went smoothly. The approx. 2 1/2-hour drive from Split was definitely worth the visit to the national park. Richard, our guide, was super nice and regularly fed us interesting facts about locations we passed on the tour. In addition, he professionally ensured that no one got lost in the park. Absolute recommendation.

It was a fantastic experience to visit the lakes. The most cleanest and beautifully preserved lakes in Europe. Lakes were crystal clear and blue and the whole walk was very pleasant. Definitely worth it for the price. We were able to see all the lakes and waterfall within a day while taking good breaks in between taking lots of pictures. And lastly, our tour guide Larry made the whole experience really fun with his jokes. He is very informative, friendly, helpful and funny. Loved it!!!

Our tour guide Lovro was phenomenal. He went above and beyond to make sure we understood the geographical history of the region we were visiting, as well as the history of the park. The hike was not too strenuous & Lovro made sure to take time for everyone to do the hike successfully. He also gave us a list of local food to try which drastically increased our enjoyment of the food for the rest of our trip. Stunning views with an excellent tour group! My one advice to people packing lunch is that make sure you are prepared to carry it in ur backpack and keep it insulated, the day is pretty hot in August and you wouldn’t want to risk getting sick.

Our tour guide Sanja was absolutely amazing! From the very beginning, she made the whole experience enjoyable with her excellent communication skills, great sense of humour and wonderful energy. She has an impressive knowledge not only of Plitvice Lakes, but also of the Lika region and Split, sharing interesting facts, stories and figures throughout the journey. What could have felt like a long three-hour drive went by incredibly quickly thanks to her engaging personality, positive energy and empathy with the group. Sanja was friendly, attentive and professional, and really added something special to the whole experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend both the trip and, especially, Sanja as a guide!
